I was able to get in touch with the grower and they suggested that I call the place I bought it from in late February to see if they can order some more of these. So that is what I plan on doing. If I have any luck getting one I will be sure to post here and let you know. I know for people in TX that would be helpful but I am not sure if the nursery would ship for those interested outside of TX but I would be willing to send a few cuttings out to those that were really interested. Maybe set up some type of trade. PA, what a coincendence!!!! I live in Belton too. I would be happy to give you cuttings but I lost the whole plant last winter. As you know, we had a lot colder and wetter winter here in TX than usual. Dianne

Maybe someone got BINGO today, but I still need one more! Are we all waiting for the same one to be picked? We've been getting rain lately and my plants love it! I see some spaghetti squash forming on those plants. I have them growing in tomato cages because I don't have much ground space for them to wander ... although they are certainly trying to do that. I may have to place slings under the squash as it grows larger. :-) May went by in the blink of an eye! Jeanne

    Cast Party Time Again :-)

I remember your salad. Haven't tried it yet. I'm a big fan of cauliflower and have learned to like broccoli too. I also like the "medley" that comes under a variety of names, California Medley, Normandy, etc, that also includes carrots. If you like carrots, some shreds in there would add some color and flavor. If you like a little kick, use a pepper jack cheese. Don't skimp on the bacon buddy! :D That punch is an old recipe and frankly, I like it. There's a lot of variations. OJ will substitute nicely although don't be afraid to try the pineapple juice in there. With the other flavors it won't be overpowering. I'm not a big fan of pineapple either but it mixes in well and adds something. Good luck and hope you enjoy the cast party. How often do they occur?

I'll bring potato salad and something chocolate. Oh, and beer. Wise idea to bring the sheriff, Donna. We'll want him on our side when we get wild with wine, beer and hula hoops!

I'm in the mood for a picnic! Donna you can have your blanket, if I got down there on a blanket, I probbally wouldn't get up again ( and you girls might just leave me there forever - and there are creepy crawly things down there!) So I'll bring my lawn chair.
You guys know me, if this picnic becomes a drunken brawl, I'm going home. And I'll take my chicken salad and Oreos with me!

Hey we can sit around and reminese (sp) about our old friends that have always brought us so much fun.

Jel, I'll bring my hula-hoop too. Back when I had a waist, I was a hula-hoop QUEEN! Maybe that was just in my own mind.

I hope this picnic doesn't statr until after noon, because today I "Have a life!" Well, Don't you just hate it when you go day after day with out much going on, and then BAM! three things in one morning! OK, I'm not dis likeing it, but looking forward to it.
    See you all later!

Can't have a picnic without fried chicken and potato salad so I'll bring that. I also have bug spray. Can't let the mosquitos ruin our day.

    Linda

I'll bring Officer Andy (he and the sheriff can talk about work) and some icy cold Mexican beer and fresh limes.

LOL, Lydia--and we can sit around talking about Officer Andy ;-)

While you guys are sitting around "talking" about Officer Andy, I'll just kidnap him!

Sure wish we could entice Murphy, Rabbit, and some of the other oldies to join in. Maybe some of our old friends from OHH, KTT and MH will come, too. I know they keep tabs on our happenings.

Anyone bring the boy toys? Put me down for a few...maybe cabana boys? The fashion shows were a hoot! The Dottie(bathtub especially) escapades, brown bags and Marlen made me ROFLMBO!!!!!!

I long for the good old days!

I never heard snarky remarks and then in the same post, if you don't like it SOB!

Excellent idea!!! I am up for it, infact, I will bring a big ol' jar of peanut butter with enough spoons for everyone! Ms. Glenda gets the first dip!

Think we'll need bug spray? Sun block? Remember your hats, everyone.

    sooey

Sun block and hats!!! Wait a minute here! We need lots of shade -- this poor bod melts in the sun!

Seashell, What is "Quick Shade?" Is this an umbrella?

When I pull out one of Marlen's recipies, the first thing I think of is an American Flag, and second is her 4th of July picnics! She sure had fun!
Dottie reminds me of a claw-foot tub! What a hoot!

See-yah later -- Off the Lunch with the girls!

I've got leftover cabana boys from Capt. Andy's last cruise, I'll bring them :)

RATS,RATS, a thousand times RATS!!! The guy at the deli only gave me three pounds of potato salad and I asked for five. Can someone please make up the diff? Potato is fine but three bean would be even better. We will also need chips and dip. I have an extra table which I will bring for the side dishes. Who has the napkins & paper cups?

hayjud, can you still bring the frisbee and the lawn darts? sea shell, could you put a few extra chairs in your car? littlebit would you please bring a few extra rolls of paper towel?...you know how we never seem to have enough...

I'll meet you all there, just have one quick stop to make at the party store...

Is donna oh's invitation to everyone or just oldies?

I may have to hide behind the busehes and watch and drool over the aroma of those hot dogs.

I did not even own a computer nor know how to use one when you all were having so much fun way back when.

Hey, Sox, If you are going to be drooling, you will fit right in with all the oldies! LOL (notice I didn't include myself in that group!) ;o)

Boy, That Sooey is quite an organizer, but I'd like to know Who/What is going to get T - papered!

I may be the QUEEN of the hula-hoop, but I am likely to hurt my ankle if I try to through a frisbee! You have to find someone else to bring that. What I can bring is, a nice big bag of water balloons (summer leftovers.) I can help you out with a couple extra lawn chairs. One only has three legs, but we can lean it on the corner of another chair.

I'll make room for MY beverage of choice, coffee and the fixings.

Wow, those hotdogs look good! Did anyone remember the ketchup and mustard?

Somebody mentioned Murphy earlier. I really do miss her, never a dull moment when Murphy was here! I also remember that Lori named one of her goats (I think it was a goat) Murphy. (Sure glad she wasn't raising pigs, I'm feared to think of who might have been remembered with a pig name. LOL

All I can say is, ""Heatherinohio, you better have more than one small piece of that pumpkin cheesecake!
OK, Now I am amoung the drooling bunch!!!

Was Gale the one who used to bring the sheriff? If so, she'd better come & make him behave! Between him & Officer Andy they're acting like little boys! Theyre going crossed eyed looking at all you girls!! Oh what fun!

Did ya see MS Leggs dancing on the picnic table? tee hee

My belly is sooo full with all this good food & drinks! Company's fantastic! Soxxx you sure are invited-

    Party on

Let's make those fabulous Turtle Burgers. LOL~

And I have one of Donna's favorite drinks, dirty martini's, and enough for all that desire.

Well the bar is pretty well stocked, but somehow the food seems lacking. :-)

I'm bringing some dog toys. I love dogs, and don't have one, so I want you guys to bring yours so I can play with them!
    Frisbees, tenny balls.

I'll also bring a huge pasta salad. I love pasta salad, and it grows.

Can anyone bring coleslaw or something else to eat?

Cole slaw it is then. I have 2 heads of cabbage in the fridge and have been looking for a way to use it up. How about a jello salad too...the orange one with buttermilk and pineapple would be good. Oh, oh, with all that booze you all are talkin' about...do we really need all that food. I'll pass on the drinks. It wouldn't be a pretty site. I'll be the designated driver.

I'm not a drinker either. I'd rather EAT and have fun visiting with you all. And playing with the pooches.

I think Gale_TX WAS the sheriff!

    I like that Washer game!

I'll bring the guacomole and chips and homemade peach ice cream.I'll have to bring my own lawn chair too and sit beside hayjud.I'll bring my hula hoop too and we can have a hula hoopin contest.I use to be the other hula hoop QUEEN when I weightd 105 and could actually move my hips!

I'll take the peach ice cream and the margaritas and sit back and wait for the Cabana boys to start the dancin'. Oh, I left the raspberry sauce (that I made today) and cheese cake under the umbrelly there by the pool. Nanny

And I will bring some avocados locally grown, some local strawberries and wine from some nearby vineyards.
Don't forget to bring a "white elephant" for the swap.

*hiding in the corner with 10 pumpkin cheesecakes* I MAY just need an intervention.

I like cole slaw though, I would consider a trade. LOL!

Okay, I'm here with the Bluebell Homemade Vanilla, coffee and some after dinner drinks, what do you need?

I just pulled 4 pans of chocolate brownies out of the oven. I'm mixing up the fudge frosting right now and will be ready to pack them up in the car in a few minutes. Oh, and I've got a firepit ring and firewood in the back of the truck. Along with half a dozen of those comfy campfire chairs. We can get rid of the lawn chair that only had three legs. These will be a lot more secure and sturdier ESPECIALLY for those that have already been hitting the booze too hard! :-)

Heatherinohio, your on! I'll trade 2 servings of cole slaw for 2 of those pumpkin cheesecakes. Hope we can count on officer Andy to throw any of those intervention partypoopers that show up off the property.

Oh My Goodness, donna oh...what a great idea and what a GREAT picnic that was. So good, in fact, that there are a few KT'ers still there, still dancing and still eating! Sorry I had to leave so early. I was so enjoying all of you, the games, the Karaoke not to metion the pumpkin cheescake, but us old ladies need our beauty sleep.

Well...to be honest with all of you, I was not feeling all that great. I thought it might be a bit of a bug but it turned out to be all that potato salad that I had, you know, the one I brought form the deli. Whew...hit me like a ton of bricks! And talk about rocket fuel... But, not to worry, all is well today. They let me go home after I agreed to remove what was left of the salad from the picnic and send it down to the CDC in Atlanta for testing, which of course I did. Now, I am sure that I was the only one who ate that salad but just in case...if any of you think you had some and are not feeling 'great' today, not to worry...just stay home today, drink lots of gingerale...just let it run it's course... ;) . As for me, all is well. The ER staff was just great, kind and helpful AND they say I should be back on solid food by tomorrow.

So, donna oh, again, great idea and great picnic. I hope the clean-up committee was able to function after all thse yummy brownies I saw them eating. The Sheriff sure was interested in those...giving them the sniff test and all. What did you put in those things, jel48? They sure were a hit!

And REMEMBER everyone...What happens at KT'res picnic, STAYS at KT'res picnic...

    sooey

Oh Donna! Am I glad I didn't eat the potato salad! I'd rather miss out on that kind of finale... EEwwww
I think I ate too much cheesecake, but it sure was fun!

Sooey is right, you did a great job at getting all this together. It was lots of fun!
Humm, What are you going to do with those guys on your blanket?
That was a good idea to wrap up Officer Andy and that phoney Sheriff in the T-Paper. Gale IS our Sheriff, we can't have interference from some phoney! And if Sheriff Gale doesn't show, we can have more fun. Maybe we could just T-Paper her too! :o)

I have most of my stuff packed into the car, Thanks Again!

Oh Sooey, so sorry your Potato salad didn't agree with you--are ya sure thats what it was?

Heather doesn't know it, but I did sneak a piece of her pumpkin cheesecake--yummie!

How dumb of me, I thought Gale always brought the Sheriff--guess my senior brain forgot that she was the sheriff--duh LOL

Theres still a few peeps here lying around & recovering from all the fun!

    Donna (^_^)
