My nephews school is getting a chance to get some much needed money go vote.My understanding is they get like 70 grand go to quick vote please for Children and Families of Iowa Http:educonnect.windstream.com thank you

The molding is up on the cabinets. It turned out to be a bigger job than we thought. Thank goodness for wood filler.... We are stopping for the day to watch the USA hockey team hopefully beat the Canadians for the gold medal!!!! Thanks Leafy02- found the chairs on Craigslist - they were my valentine's present! Most women want jewelery- Am I crazy? Igloochic- the fixture is my FAVORITE thing in the house. My mom bought is as an antique 50+ years ago as a newlywed and had it converted from gas to electric. It hung above our kitchen table when I was a child. I had to add an extension to the pole when we moved into this house because the ceilings are much higher. I love it too- thanks. Yes the island will have to be painted. I will post pics when the paint is up and the molding on the cabinets is stained. Hopefully you guys can help me out with a color for the island. I love the idea of black, but with the barnwood top being sooo dark- I don't know..... Les917- I love the idea of black hardware on the cabs! Graywings- strange how the couches came across as orange. IRL they are dark brown. I really want to do toile- maybe another color other than black?

I would never step in between a red freak and her paint chips. Any of them will work, I'm sure, but the middle one is definitely more "cherry"/blue on my monitor. I've got "burnt terra cotta" by our local Hershfields (Minn.) paint company. Brownish red without the tomato aspect. You've probably seen it in my postings. It's working well. I'm finding that it is more forgiving and relaxing than "real" red. Even in my old supposedly red kitchen, the reds were in the flooring, the sink, and the decorative pieces but the walls were linen wallpaper; this is my first red paint kitchen. It's funky and it's happy. Have fun stormin' the castle! fyi if you've never seen the "red freaks" thread from last year, you might see some red kitchens there that have eluded you. I voted 3 times. I tried the second time to see if it would reject the second vote, but the gave me the "Thank you" page again. I don't know if they'll count or not but maybe we can vote every day (or 3 times in a row like I did).
