Need a few more prayers please

DDIL got a call today from the doctors office about Rowdy's labs and he has a Biotinidase deficiency.This has something to do with the inability to absorb the B vitamin Biotin.It can be genetic so they have to see a specialist for that.This could also be something caused from his surgery,which is most likely since nobody on either side of the family has had it and both parents would have to be carriers for him to have it that way.The surgeon had told them that it was possible that the surgery could cause this when she did it so we are thinking that is probably the cause.Anyway,it can be pretty serious and cause some serious problems if not caught and treated early.We are a little upset that the labs were done over a month ago and showed the deficiency but they are just letting us know.

We would appreciate your prayers and positive thoughts for this little one.

Oh, I'll be sure to continue the prayers and good thoughts for little Rowdy. I can understand being upset that it was not caught sooner, but hopefully they can get it under control now. The article was interesting.

Waiting a month to tell you the results would upset me too.

My youngest DD went through a similar situation about the same time ago. She ended up with a antibiotic resistant infection and sepsis, most likely unrelated to her procedure and spent weeks in the hospital. My best thoughts and prayers for your Ashlee.

Just talked to DD.She called the doctor's office today because they hadn't called her.She asked why they didn't call about the MRI and nurse said he wasn't in that office today.He has offices in other towns.She said he will be back Monday and she will let her know something then. She is feeling some better today though,not as much pain.Thanks for the prayers.

While working outsdie this afternoon Rowdy crossed my mind and I said a prayer for he and wee sister...sorry he's having more problems but so glad plans are underway to get on top it now.

Poor baby. Hope they can get this under control and keep him healthy. It has to be frustrating for all the family. Hugs and prayers for all.
