More prayers please

DGD was treated 3 years ago with cryosurgery for pre-cancerous cervical cells (HPV). Last summer when she had her checkup they found cancer cells again and did the procedure again. A couple of weeks after she was feeling bad and in a lot of pain and went to the ER.They told her she had a bad infection from the procedure and prescribed antibiotics.She went back to her regular gyno.later and he told her everything looked good and he would see her in 6 months. Over the weekend she was feeling real bad and in pain,but thought it was just pre menstrual stuff. Yesterday afternoon she was hurting so bad that even the pain pills were not working so her SO took her to the city 50 miles away to the ER. She didn't go to the ER here because she figured they would do what they have done before,give her a pain shot and tell her to see her regular doctor the next day! Our hospital and ER sucks. Anyway,the doctor she saw last night said there is an infection that has spread to her uterus and that whatever the previous doctor had done was most likely what caused it. They told her she needs to see a specialist right away and recommended one in San Angelo,TX which is about 100 miles from here. She is going tomorrow. When they first found this stuff they told her she would likely end up having a hysterectomy but she wanted to put it off as long as possible because she wanted to have a baby. She did get pregnant twice but miscarried both times,so I guess it wasn't meant to be. We are pretty sure they will want to do the hysterectomy now,which is OK if that is what it takes to get rid of the cancer,but she is only 25 and I know this will be really hard for her. She wanted a baby so badly. Please pray that everything goes well and that all the cancer cells are eliminated,however it has to be done. Her name is Ashlee. Sorry this was so long.

Oh gosh, she will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers and that they won't have to do a hysterctomy at this time. (((Ashlee)))

Thanks for all the prayers. He is not out of the woods yet. Here is the latest and thanks from my cousin. Clare Travis is at the Shriners Burns Hospital. He's getting the best care. We were told they won't know the full extent of his burns for at least 48 to 72 hours. It takes that long for burns "to declare themselves". He's having surgery Friday just to clean out 3rd degree burns on his right shoulder and upper back. Most of the burns seem to be 2nd and should heal by themselves. The only skin grafting would be in the area of those 3rd degree burns. All of the burns are in his upper body, neck and face. There's nothing below his chest. The good news is that Travis is very healthy and is in "stable" condition. Thank you so much for your prayers. You're the best!

Just a little update on Ashlee.She went to the specialist yesterday and they did lots of tests and labs and she will have the results Tuesday.Please keep her in your prayers between now and then.We appreciate it.

i'm glad her "so" was smart enough to take her someplace different...it might have saved her life...if she does have surgery, there are other options to being a parent...

My youngest DD went through a similar situation about the same time ago. She ended up with a antibiotic resistant infection and sepsis, most likely unrelated to her procedure and spent weeks in the hospital. My best thoughts and prayers for your Ashlee.
