I watched both of them and i wanted to slap some sense into the parents of the gal that was in the beauty pagents.She was dumber than rocks. The second one made me cry,it brought back sooo many memories for me.I kinda lived that life all through high school.My mom died when i was 9,and when i was 13 i was sent to live with an aunt and uncle.The aunt treated me like that,uncle was always at work.I had to care for her 2 kids,and my grandfather(he had had a stroke),clean house,cook,laundry,and i mean with a ringer washer and hanging them out to dry.Plus going to the spring everyday to get water. I used to get migrains,and had very bad stomach aches.I toughed it out so i could graduate high school,which i did.After i graduated the wicked witch of the east,wouldn't let me go job hunting.Wanted me to stay home and take care of Grandad,her kids,the house etc.We got into a big fight,and i was able to call an older sister in another state,and she came and got me out of there,and took me to live with her.It was like going from hell to heaven!! Years later i ran into my cousins at a family reunion(the WW'S kids,i cared for) and the boy told me that he always thought i was his mom,and how sad he was when i left.Made me cry.As he got older he realized i was his cousin. Sorry,didn't mean to get carried away,that show just stirred up buried memories for me.I didn't think there was still people out there like that.It happened to me in the 50's. Kathi

My absolute most favored book of all time. I have several copies...here and there. :) Scout and Jem have been my friends for years. LOL And how could you not love Atticus Finch? (Truman Capote wasn't Harper Lee's cousin, but a neighbor when she was young). I hate the rumors that he wrote the book instead of her, though.

I thought sure we were going to see Jack die. They kept teasing us every time someone from the show was interviewed they would insinuate it was going to be the finale. I was very disappointed in the last show it was definitely my least favorite. I think she was very unfair to him because he has worked his rear off providing for that large family and allowing her to stay home and be the mom she wanted to be. Now she tells him she is unfulfilled! And it's his fault. Wrong. He is an excellent father and husband. The new drinking thing they suddenly threw in there is not a fit for his character.

Thank you for your kind comments! She is a sweetheart. She's lived in Paris her whole life but because my brother is American, she is completely and seamlessly bilingual. She has been studying acting for a while, but this is her big break. I've got my fingers crossed for her!
