I thought about you all last night. And Helen, I was up about the same time you were. The TV weather picture was a sea of red and boy, was there water coming down! I had just shy of 3 inches in the rain gauge. My car trunk in the garage is covered with plants ready to go out, and I had even planted a darling little Supersweet 100 tomato a couple days ago. I knew better-- She got covered with some loose straw and a pot over her this evening. Surely our drought has been broken. I wondered this AM if I should be boiling water, as the last time we had that much water, it was after the tornado. But I thought maybe Folger's would take care of everything, and apparently there wasn't an order out after all. Not one tulip bloom was shattered, nor were any dogwood blooms knocked off, so all we had was rain. The thunder and lightning was terrible, though. "Our" storm pushed off east and made some big trouble today. So sorry. And I'm real sorry I didn't mow earlier! Sunny

I watched both of them and i wanted to slap some sense into the parents of the gal that was in the beauty pagents.She was dumber than rocks. The second one made me cry,it brought back sooo many memories for me.I kinda lived that life all through high school.My mom died when i was 9,and when i was 13 i was sent to live with an aunt and uncle.The aunt treated me like that,uncle was always at work.I had to care for her 2 kids,and my grandfather(he had had a stroke),clean house,cook,laundry,and i mean with a ringer washer and hanging them out to dry.Plus going to the spring everyday to get water. I used to get migrains,and had very bad stomach aches.I toughed it out so i could graduate high school,which i did.After i graduated the wicked witch of the east,wouldn't let me go job hunting.Wanted me to stay home and take care of Grandad,her kids,the house etc.We got into a big fight,and i was able to call an older sister in another state,and she came and got me out of there,and took me to live with her.It was like going from hell to heaven!! Years later i ran into my cousins at a family reunion(the WW'S kids,i cared for) and the boy told me that he always thought i was his mom,and how sad he was when i left.Made me cry.As he got older he realized i was his cousin. Sorry,didn't mean to get carried away,that show just stirred up buried memories for me.I didn't think there was still people out there like that.It happened to me in the 50's. Kathi

It wasn't on here in Canada. Did flip throught but not nothing. I don't want to watch it anyways. Don't feel its right seeing an unbalanced mom getting tons of money for doing something she shouldn't be doing. Those kids, all of them need loving caring homes with balanced parents who can care for them. Yes, the parents have done too much to make her that way. And as for Jon and Kate, I used to like watching their show but as time went on, got tired of the screaming from Kate. Seeing Jon miserable and unhappy and harrassed. Seeing the kids being hauled around, made to wear clothes for show when going out somewhere. And now being a single parent, its all talk about her and what she must do for her kids and will and blah, blah, again all about Kate. Its the kids I feel sorry for in both families. And why they continue on Jon and Kate show is beyond me. People do not watch to watch those two. And the show are ones they did way back, like the kitchen being redone, the cupboards it said it was January 2009. And I read on yahoo news that Kate went after Jon for the babysitter he chose. Can you believe that these kids have all kinds of different babysitters,etc. looking after them. parents bouncing back and forth and Jon locking the gates on their mom so she couldn't get in after the baby sitter. I go unreal, who wants to watch their show? Its not about the kids anymore, its about Kate and Jon and which one is telling the truth and who said what and on and on. I don't like Octomom at all and I don't want to see it at all.

I think they should have sent Rahdney home, bro! haha Joaquin was nasty also. Rodney is worse. And the post man guy, crap, can't remember his name, (Mr. Banana Hammock, gag) he is an idiot. Talking to Sierra, trying to get her back to their group and he comes off with "Shut your mouth and open your ears and just listen", I'm not even going to type on here what I would have said to him, lol. He really doesn't get it does he? I still don't like Sierra though. Not ever a fan of throwing a challenge, although I can see the one guys reasoning, to save their teammate on the other tribe. But history has shown once you throw a challenge you end up on a downhill losing streak. Rodney's reaction at tribal was priceless! Like Shirin's was last week. I love it. Hurry up next Wednesday.
