I just came online and Facebook seems to be having a bad day. DNS error. What are the game addicts going to do now? LOL

Back to deep cleaning the house for me. Just might get that spare room cleaned out if Facebook stays down LOL

I was having trouble with Facebook also! Cleaning must be in the air, I was decluttering the desk that the computer is on. Found some magazines from 3 years ago!!

I logged into Spotify today using an account that I created just with a Hotmail email address. I have a Hotmail account specifically for this kind of purpose. It only puts email into my inbox if the sender is in my address book, and all else goes into the junk folder. When I sign up for something, I go into the junk folder to find confirmation of the account, and I can then move that to my inbox or leave it as junk, if I do not want to be bothered again.

This is a RIDICULOUS complaint made four years ago!! I think in 2022 everyone who posts anything on SOCIAL MEIDA of any sort is putting what ever out for PUBLIC scrutiny. Nothing done on the internet will be private forever NOTING. Everything can be hacked!! Privacy is not a thing any longer and if you think you care about your privacy you for sure would not be on any social media and I don't even think you would own a cell phone. That was the trade off when the world chose all the 'in the cloud' communication. You are leaving a digital footprint that will out live you and your grand children, just sayin.

Here is my experience with Nnesi: 4/18/23- I ordered 3 shirts from a Nnesi “sponsored” Facebook ad. What appealed to me besides the attractive clothing was that the clothing is “made in Fort Mill, South Carolina” and “shipped from Fort Mill, South Carolina.” 4/22/1/23- I received an e-mail from Nnesi saying my order was shipped. 4/29/23-package still hasn’t arrived. I commented on their Facebook ad post about not having received my order a week after the e-mail said it had been (supposedly) shipped-from South Carolina. Red flag raised. It should not take a week to ship from SC to PA. I immediately received a FB message from Nnesi asking for my order number. I responded. They immediately sent me the latest status of my order, which I already had been tracking. Very responsive. 5/1/23-My package was delivered. There was a shipping label from China on the package, partially covered over by a USPS mailing label. Inside the package, all 3 plastic bags that contained the shirts said, “Made in China.” What’s more, the beautiful, well-designed, removeable paper tags on the shirt were littered with grammar mistakes; it is obvious the tags were written by a non-native English-speaking person. There is a sewn-in label with laundering instructions on each shirt, but there is no label with material contents nor where it was made. 5/1/23-I messaged Nnesi and told them what a fraud their company is. They immediately blocked me from responding again and blocked me from commenting again on their posts. All my comments warning people about their false advertising had been removed. To add salt to the wound, none of the 3 shirts fit. I am not going to attempt to return them; I will save myself the aggravation. I am out $104.37. Luckily, I paid via PayPal, so this deceptive company does not have my credit card information. I will donate these made-in-China-shipped-from-China shirts to a charity where someone will enjoy wearing them, not knowing the fraudulent story behind them. If you look at their posts, they only allow questions or comments that are favorable to them. I believe that Nnesi also operates under different names because I see the same articles of clothing and “Made in Fort Mill, South Carolina,” and “Shipped from Fort Mill, South Carolina” under several different company names advertising on Facebook. These companies need to be shut down!

This reminds me, I got a friend request a couple of months ago from a man I don't know. I looked at his profile, mostly selfies (smh) and he lives in LA. Just for kicks and giggles I accepted his request. He immediately started mssging me, the first thing he said is "I like your name." I thanked him and said it is........ (I don't use my real name). Then he asked where I'm from I said Ont. Cda and he said, No where you are now. Again I told him. Couple messages back and forth and I asked why he asked for a friend request, was he just throwing s*t at the wall to see what sticks? Anyway that was the end of that. LOL Also, another guy friended me and got mad when he found out I don't use my real name. Called me a liar and all kinds of beauties. I know lots of hilarious names of people on FB, it's hardly the CRA or IRS. Who cares. Chris P Bacon is a friend (Love that one), Clem Cladillahopper. Remember that name? The list goes on.

I just got home and noticed it was all messed up! Couldn't care less about the games...I don't play and I block the "friends" that do!

I get the DNS error too! I'm blaming it on all the stinking rain we are getting and that's my story! lol

Bump, you don't have to block your friends just block the game posts. If you see a game post or those hug etc posts you will notice at the right of the post an X . Click on the X and you can just hide the game instead of your friend so no more posts for that game will appear. I tell that to all my FB friends because I do play a few games and don't want to clutter up their wall but still want to be able to talk with my FB friends.

The DNS error is a Facebook problem not with your computer or where you live.

I just tried to log on and got the DNS error message. I said to myself...Self, before you get your knickers in a twist go check KT. Sure as shootin', it's not me! You people rock!!!

On Yahoo this afternoon, they reported that one of the richest 400 U.S. persons last year was the guy who originated FB ... and this year, two others of the original owners are there, as well.

This morning, on the radio, it was reported that a young lady of 14 in a town about 30 mi. north of London, England, went on FB to invite some of her friends to her birthday party ... birthday being Oct. 7, but party Oct. 9.

Trouble was ... she didn't activate the necessary privacy settings ...

... so, soon after, she had 2,000 responses saying that they'd come.

Shortly after that, their local police department had FB remove the message ...

... but it had gone on other social contact areas, and was passed around there ... to the extent of 21,000 accepting her invitation, at this point.

Plus ... the party has been advertised as for all of Oct. 7, 8 and 9.

So there's to be a major police presence in the area near the girl's home on all three of those days, to turn away those who come.

And the family involved are planning to warn a number of neighbours to move their cars elsewhere, in case some who are told to go home decide to play some games, including messing with some local autos.

Modern communication! Sort of like fire ... to be handled with care.
