I just came online and Facebook seems to be having a bad day. DNS error. What are the game addicts going to do now? LOL

Back to deep cleaning the house for me. Just might get that spare room cleaned out if Facebook stays down LOL

I was having trouble with Facebook also! Cleaning must be in the air, I was decluttering the desk that the computer is on. Found some magazines from 3 years ago!!

unfortunately no Mike it could be enemies or those frienimies that once were friends and are no longer, often times they would do things like that simply because they can and they know it would be upsetting. Those people likely would not honor a request to please not do that. Or people that just get off on being A-holes they seem to be abundant. Also some people have been in groups or clubs etc and are no longer part of them, pictures of groups end up and not everyone in the group pic said it was ok to plaster their image every where. In fact I have been in pictures as a by stander and found my pic, had no idea it was there was never asked to be in a picture or to have it posted. Used to they had to ask permission to use your pictures and get signed release forms. Not to mention just being the polite thing to do. the thing about facebook is the opt out feature not opt in which makes if a bit different ballgame.

If you live in a house in a rural area, you may have an occasional mouse that likes the warmth in your house as the weather turns colder. I know I have, and I've hated to deal with those wooden traps that scare the heck out me when I've had to set them. I've tried other kinds of traps but they haven't always been effective. hmm.I thought I had commented here but it was likely another thread about those super attractive facebook ads. There was another company that kept coming up on my facebook feeds- talk about great targeting. The styles were exactly what I want. I started seeing tons of favorable comments, and from time to time a poster asking for more info. The ads I saw only had Made in USA (not a specific). Itried googling with the name, and nothing came up. I commented on the post asking where in the USA it was made, and they replied South Carolina. I then googled and did find an address in South Carolina, but it was clearly not any place for manufacturing. If I remember correctly, the google earth image was of a store front in a strip mall. Probably just a mailing address or maybe a shipping depot. I decided not to bother ordering. @Allyson Gillinder My husband had ordered from one of these sites-- a jacket that actually was really great but was not the size it was supposed to be. He reached out and was told he needed to return it. Yes shipping and all was going to cost plenty and they said "once received" they would initiate the credit. Since he didn't want to spend another $20 or $30 to ship it as a gamble, he disputed the charge. He also posted some very negative reviews. It took a few weeks, but the charge was ultimately reversed. I offered the jacket on buynothing. It's definitely worth disputing.

Most people here are pretty good with measurements, but it's not often you seen it right on the photo! It's so crazy not to include measurements, imo, because 90% of inquiries must ask about it!. So I guess FBM has it's own category of furniture--an upholstered chair can be a sofa, or as Sue pointed a regular chair is a "sitting chair". Guess you could flop out on the "small sofa" type chairs, lol.

I just got home and noticed it was all messed up! Couldn't care less about the games...I don't play and I block the "friends" that do!

I get the DNS error too! I'm blaming it on all the stinking rain we are getting and that's my story! lol

Bump, you don't have to block your friends just block the game posts. If you see a game post or those hug etc posts you will notice at the right of the post an X . Click on the X and you can just hide the game instead of your friend so no more posts for that game will appear. I tell that to all my FB friends because I do play a few games and don't want to clutter up their wall but still want to be able to talk with my FB friends.

The DNS error is a Facebook problem not with your computer or where you live.

I just tried to log on and got the DNS error message. I said to myself...Self, before you get your knickers in a twist go check KT. Sure as shootin', it's not me! You people rock!!!

On Yahoo this afternoon, they reported that one of the richest 400 U.S. persons last year was the guy who originated FB ... and this year, two others of the original owners are there, as well.

This morning, on the radio, it was reported that a young lady of 14 in a town about 30 mi. north of London, England, went on FB to invite some of her friends to her birthday party ... birthday being Oct. 7, but party Oct. 9.

Trouble was ... she didn't activate the necessary privacy settings ...

... so, soon after, she had 2,000 responses saying that they'd come.

Shortly after that, their local police department had FB remove the message ...

... but it had gone on other social contact areas, and was passed around there ... to the extent of 21,000 accepting her invitation, at this point.

Plus ... the party has been advertised as for all of Oct. 7, 8 and 9.

So there's to be a major police presence in the area near the girl's home on all three of those days, to turn away those who come.

And the family involved are planning to warn a number of neighbours to move their cars elsewhere, in case some who are told to go home decide to play some games, including messing with some local autos.

Modern communication! Sort of like fire ... to be handled with care.
