Good Howdy Afternoon on Monday!

How is your weather? Rainy here all day and part of last night. The temperature is 68 and it is rather humid. It has been busy for me. Had my mammogram this morning, don't know why some say they hurt, they never bother me. Then to McDonald's and got a burger and we all went to see baby Alyssa and visit a bit and watched her eat her pears. Now I am home again and still we have rain. I think I shall take a nap. How is your day going and what are you doing?

Howdy right back, Sue. So far the rain has missed us. I watched the weather report at lunch time and he said it would be here in my part of Ohio in 4 hours. I'm timing him just to see if he can be that accurate. ;*)

I haven't been very ambitious today. Paid bills. Went over my upcoming health insurance info my company sent me. So far no big changes like last year and premiums will remain the same.......hooray for that.

I've had some mammograms that didn't hurt in the least, and some that have hurt like the devil. It depends on who's giving them.

No need to cook today. I'll be eating leftovers. Only have to reheat and add a side vegetable.

Absolutely gorgeous day here in north central MN....sun is shining, a little breeze blowing, and 70Ã¯Â¿Â½ . I'm pulling up my tomato and pepper plants as they look like wet dishrags!

Good afternoon. I'm glad you are feeling better Kath. I slept in the recliner for a week after my surgery. It was much more comfortable than my bed. Jammer and I went to a local cafÃ© for breakfast this morning. We saw lots of friends there and had a good meal. Then we went to church. I'm not sure what to think of this but about 5 or 6 people came up to me to tell me how good I looked. I ask Jammer if I've been looking so bad before??? Anyway, it was a good service and I had tears in my eyes for most of it. I know that worries Jammer, but I was just sitting there thinking about how happy I am, so the tears were good ones. Jammer is out tilling our garden right now, with the help of his 2 sons and several of their friends. We have already eaten some of the squash, we have peppers ready to pick and have lots of tomatoes. I am anxiously waiting for them to ripen!!! Hope you all are having a great Mother's Day.

It was high 90s yesterday and so humid I could be outside only about 10 minuets at a time. Today is 94 and "nice," seems to be no humidity. I've been weeding the north Hosta/bleeding hearts garden. The heat has played havoc on all my lovely bleeing hearts. They are brown, yellow, and dried except for near the bases. I'm trimming them down, keeping them watered (praise God for my never-dry private well that feeds the outside spigots) and hoping for better next year. I need to take a load of linens - the last blanket from the spring, mattress pad, two sets of sheets - to the laundry matt. It's two blocks away and it's so much quicker to throw them all in one of the large washers and bring them home to dry on the line. Spent the morning making all my yearly appointments. Wasn't that a joy? August will be filled with pap, mammo, dentist, diabetes check up and tests, apnea machine refitting, and some skin tests.

I finially went and got a few groceries, enough for 3 days at least. My son dropped off beef stew a few days ago which his gf made it left much to be desired but we ate it so I picked up a sirloin roast that I'll cut up for beef stew. Annie over in the cooking forum posted her stew instructions for me. She made it recently and posted a photo which looked so good I had to ask her how to make it. Anyway I'll make it Monday I would make it tomorrow but the kids have been asking for ham BBQ sandwhiches and I promised. Amiee and the boys just put two pumpkin pies in the oven. They recieved no help from me but they did use the premade Pillsbury crust. They said they needed to practice for Thanksgiving LOL I will be a willing taste tester. I have a load of the boys school clothes washing now, actually just their school jeans. 125 deg.F Tide Free and Gentle Pod, and 3 rinses. I still have time for one more load tonight so I'll do school shirts. Tomorrow is another day. Elizabeth if your reading this I don't recall you posting lately of course I may have missed it...are you ok? Have a great Saturday evening everyone.

Chilly and rainy here. It puts me in the mood for cooking. I might even figure out what we'll have for Thanksgiving. I assume everyone would prefer to have tasty stuff, not boring "diet" food, but l know how I get when something gets in my mind, so I have been avoiding thinking about it. . I keep trying not to buy any more seeds (new ones. Likely to geminate, unlike those seeds I sent you Nicole!), but I'm not succeeding. And they haven't even come out with next year's seeds. Well, Pinetree (SuperSeeds) sent me a catalog, but other sites still say "sold out". Is it time to see them blooming yet? I mean outside of my imagination. . Had a bowl of pork stew and watched to see who would be playing Austin and Buzzy on Jeopardy tomorrow. Any of them would've been good, so I was happy with the outcome. And Tom's final answer. It made me smile. I'm still smiling over it.

Rainy and on the chilly side. I went clothes shopping, ugh. Went to Elder Beerman and Kohls and couldn't find but one t-shirt. Everything in womens sizes was so ugly and unflattering, but I gathered up some things anyway that I didn't really like but "would do". Well, I almost got to the register and decided that I wasn't paying money for stuff I wasn't really happy with again so put it all back save the t-shirt.

Oh, I did find a new pair of boots at Elder Beermans on sale. I like them but when I took them out of the box I swear I smelled formaldehyde! New shoe smell just isn't what it used to be. I've been wearing them around the house trying to break them in, but the smell is still so strong. I bought them to wear to a concert this week - well, I'll chase everyone in my aisle away if I wear these things. Yikes.

Shirley, the person that gave me my mammogram said they keep a record of the patient's tolerance of the mammogram and refer to it to see what level they give it to that patient each time. I hope I told that right, anyway, different people tolerate pain better than others too.

Good evening! Worked today, started out not too bad but then got really busy with two admissions back-to-back. I'm now off for three days. Yippie!

It's been raining, have no idea how long. It wasn't raining when I went to work but was cloudy this morning. Didn't even look out the windows all day so don't know when it started.
