Good morning!

Morning Kt! I thought I'd make a post to see if it would stay around. Wondering like the rest of you where the rest of the Kt went to.

What are your plans for the day? I'm going grocery shopping and maybe see if I can get Alex to help me attempt to fix the treadmill. I also need to nail a piece of fence back up that apparently blew over in the strong winds last weekend. I may start cleaning up the gardens too. Most of my watermelon vines have died.

Hi Kathleen and the KT. I have been gone for a few days so have lots of laundry to catch up on. Seems like when you are gone the rest of the family think they don't have to do any of the regular stuff. Other than that I am just going to sit back and play on the computer.

Good morning. I haven't been feeling well, but I feel a bit letter today. I'm going to try to make some stuffed peppers for supper for the famliy, and maybe some rice pudding for myself, because I'm craving it. I'm going to try to get some laundry done too.

Mike I love tall guys roflmao. I wonder what they see way up there?? Glad you are still bored. Well...wish you weren't but it is to our advantage :-) First year growing MG trees and I just love them! Funny thou on how different they also grow depending on where they are located at. In the ground or pots...all day sun or more shade. Lucy

I've never seen bedbugs except for the pictures on the web. Kath, I hope you had no hitchhikers. You certainly took plenty of precautions, I bet you'll be fine. One of the conference rooms at work had been infested with them. The managers wisely selected a different room for meetings for about a month. The exterminators were in on the day they were first seen. Speaking of bugs, today, I am finishing up debugging the tropicals that spend summer outside in prep for bringing them in for winter. We are supposed to get into the thirties Friday and Saturday evening. I used to always use a systemic, but this year I am trying something that I saw on Facebook. I am submerging the pots and as much foliage as possible in soapy water for half an hour. I am wiping all parts that cannot be submerged with the same soapy water, then rinsing when I pull them out. In theory, this is a great idea, but I have been using more and more lightweight foam pots to save my back. Foam pots float :-) I've been settling for allowing them to float sort of sideways and rotating the pot so all areas are submerged at some point for 30 minutes. We'll see if this helps with fungus gnats. I only have the 4 biggest left to do today, I got 8 smaller pots yesterday.

Hard to order anything bulky that doesn’t get abused and arrive with some damage. Can you live with it? If not, I hope you didn’t destroy the packaging even more because you will be required to repackage it and send it back in most cases. Maybe you can get a slight discount for the damage? The problem with ordering anything is if you need to return it.

Afternoon! Not a good morning here. Hopefully things will get better. Nicole, usually I'd agree with you but when you retire from the Federal Government, not so good.

I just realized I have no idea where the letter opener is that was given to my parents on their 50th anniversary :o(

It's been on my pc desk for several years.

When I have been recovering from fall at WalMart, if things landed on the floor they stayed there. BUT it's not on the floor anywhere!!! boo hoo!

Good Morning! DS wants to go ride the quads. I need to do laundry, go to the store, clean my house--all the usual day off things.

Have a great day!

'Morning, Kathleen (and all the KTers)

Just finished the newspaper and working on my Dr. Pepper. Gonna head to the fleamarket after while and see if there's anything new to look at.

Need to pick up around here, dust, etc. Awww...well! LOL

Good morning to you all....I have so much to do....and I will not get much of it done either.....(procrastination is my downfall....LOL). Need to do laundry, strip beds and do blankets too. Fix some lunch...think about what to have for dinner...do two reports for work...and so on, and so on. I'm still sitting here at the keyboard and its nearly 11:00....got to get motivated.

Good Morning! I'm going to finish reading a book that I started last night, then make some phone calls to family and try to motivate myself enough to clean the fridge. Our garbage pick-up day has been changed to EARLY Monday from Thursday and I can't seem to adjust to having to clean the fridge on Sundays. It's sunny and warm this morning with a high of 96 degrees predicted. The price of gas is now $2.29 here. Wishing all of you a day filled with joy. Bettye/AZ

After my initial shock of no KT, and my emailing... I went outside and did a vermicompost harvest. My oldest daughter decided she would like to have a vermicompost bin.

Now, hours later, and worms and compost separated I am back, and glad to see the KT is still up.

Better up like this, without the back pages, then not up at all.

I need to see about getting stuff in our shed organized. We built some rack/holder for our bikes yesterday, and now I need to organize the rest.

Bettye if you have gas at $2.29 I would like the address. It would make it worth the 70 mile drive to get it that cheap..lol Bet you meant to say $3.29.

What happened to the KT? I don't know what y'all are talking about. I've been to church and lunch w/ DD#1 and her family. I'm going to go outside just b/c it's so nice and feels so good. DH is mowing and I love the smell of fresh grass. Gotta book for the book group to work on. It's "Sense and Sensibility" and it's not exactly fast reading. Got the 5 part Sudoku puzzle from the Sunday paper to finish. Gotta plan a meal for a friend having surgery tomorrow and grocery shop for that. Beautiful day in Tyler, Texas and even more beautiful b/c the trees are OFF my house and the elec. wires have been repaired.

Hey Kathleen--

My plan is to not do a darned thing. ('Cept fix dinner.)
Haven't been sleeping well so after working the three crossword puzzles in the Sunday paper, I went back to bed.

Glenda, I must've been gone when you fell at Wal-Mart. How bad were you hurt? Hope you're better and also that you find your letter opener. Bummer on both counts!

Vicki, what is "riding the quads"? Just curious--never heard of it.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hi everyone,
Don't have a lot planned for today.DH and i already decided we need to eat up some of our leftovers today,so that's good, neither of us will really have to cook.

I think i'll start weeding out some of my craft stuff in this room and maybe try and sell it through Craigs list.I'll start with my tole painting stuff since i havn't done any of that for quite sometime.Got lots of books, wood, paints etc. Then i'll do my sewing stuff, got tons of fabrics and other things.

I know i won't be doing a lot of any of this anymore, and i want to thin some of it out of here before i start my chemo treatments in a couple weeks.Just have toooooooooooooooooo much stuff, that i don't use or don't need any longer.

Let's see how long i procrastinate on this.LOL,LOL
