Have one of my favorite instructors, today. She gives a great cardio, everything.

It's sunny and we're expecting a high of 19ÃÂºC (66ÃÂºF). Not too hot so I am going to go for a long walk later on.

It is raining and it is 69 out. I have plans, going to help one daughter price things for her rummage sale that is planned for next week.

Thanks for the advice y'all. The aerobic spray would've been good for convenience & conservation, but I think I'll scout out a different location for the compost. I was mostly worried about the chlorine killing the bacteria needed for the compost and we don't want that. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I read somewhere (on GW) that the chlorine dissipates after some time (a couple days?). I may just capture some of the spray, let it set & then use it for watering (landscape). If the mutant weeds and "doo doo grass" are any indication, there are definitely some "nutrients" left in that water that plants seem to like (a good indication that it's NOT potable - lol). Or, it could just be that they get lots of water. It's too bad the sprinkler heads are located where they're pretty much useless for landscaping. Oh well. I'm gonna TRY to figure out some way to make use of the otherwise wasted water. I'll use it on some & use other water on others & see what happens. Thanks again, Mari

multiple head shower---problems w/hot water

it is a moen assembly sorry I don't know the actual valve models--no paperwork on that from the original owners and the plumber took the info I used to order the part--the part I ordered/replaced was 1423 Balancing spool Moentrol maybe something like this for the two-head control http://www.moen.com/products/T4111ORB ours is oil-rubbed bronze and it is installed with the lever at the top and the pull-out valve under it which looks the opposite of the Moen site photo the info on the Moen site says that it should turn from 'full cold to full hot' but there are stops the plumber came back out and said that when he put in the balancing spool he had opened the hot stop all the way and that if he closed the cool stop that it would not do any good because the balancing spool would basically just reduce the flow of water to make sure the balance of hot/cold stayed the same... he said that there is movement underway to basically take the choice out of amount of hot water coming through faucets and showers--that safety of not burning/scalding people is overriding someone's desire to have a 'HOT' shower... when I asked about replacing the valve/lever with one that would swing right/left to allow me to regulate the balance of hot/cold... he said it would be too expensive to actually change the control to that type of fixture because we would have to open up the shower wall--take out tile--replace it... so we are basically stuck with either setting the water heater to higher temp because that will bring hotter water to the mix and will be expensive choice or just learning to live with it like it is I plan to take a shower in the two upstairs showers and see if their water is hotter than the one downstairs--- he said that the master shower is probably farther from the water heaters--and it might be farther than the other downstairs shower by just a little...which would influence the water temp at the head... both water heaters are upstairs and closer to those showers... it is just very frustrating to find out that something we really did not consider all that much would become so frustrating... I don't take long showers--and I don't use the big tub at all--don't consider that I waste water compared to larger families or people who take a 15 min shower...so this irks me to no end-- our old house with its old shower had wonderful hot water and I am really going to miss it... Finding the right shower head has become a compulsion of mine too. I hate turning the shower on full blast and I can put my hand in the center of the stream and not get wet!!! I have a box of shower heads I've bought and they just weren't what I wanted. I picked up another one last week to add to the collection that just might do the trick!!! And it only cost $6.00 and some change at Home Depot. No fancy packaging...it is called PEERLESS Power Shower Head, with a power spray with a max flow of 2.5 The way it is made is different than what I'm used to. It's narrow with a button that slides so you can turn it off while lathering up. I don't do that, I want the hot water and spray to poke little holes in me while I lather up. This one seems to come close so until I see something else, this one will hang around awhile. The woman likes it too, says it rinses the soap out of her hair really good and does it fast. Lilbit- I agree with you, Rina is Awesome! Luna- Take heed to what chefmomster told you: "No Roots, No Water." Use that as a rule of thumb with most succulents. Why? because the stem or rosette would have nothing to take in water. It would sit in wet soil and rot. Becci6 is telling us that we should try as closely as possible to provide our succulents with the same growing conditions they would get in their natural environment. That is something we should all strive to do. Knowing the weather conditions in your local area will help decide where you place your plants. For example, Sempervivums in my area of southern California can be grown outdoors all year long. there are others such as Lilbit and Rina that live in a much colder climate than me that would not be able to do that (unless of course you have your own private greenhouse like Lilbit (congrats!)). Most likely they bring their plants indoors or at least cover them to shield them from intense cold. Even where I am..i usually see them thrive outside when they're planted under or beside a larger plant or tree to shield them from intense sun. I have seen many that have gotten fried by they sun. If they're getting intense sunlight for too many hours each day, I would give them some shade. We are now entering the middle of July and I have watered mine only 3 times so far this year. I stop watering in November and continue again in April. You may not be able to use my watering regimen so again, get to know your local area weather and what would work best for your plants.

73 cloudy and gloomy here in our area of Georgia. We will probably have rain "again". The high is to be 86 but I doubt it will make it. We may go to Lowes to get some insulation. Starting to prepare for winter.

Because of YOU Glenda, "I" thought to take up water aerobics when I ripped my knee. :0) My knee was healing and I ran across the street so I wouldn't be late to class and re-ripped it. Aaaaaahhhhhh.....so is life....eh? I'll start back next week. They also have FREE yoga class immediately after which I also was attending.

I'm walking on the treadmill, doing crunches holding weights....

The forecast says windy and warm. Um, since when is 90 warm? What describes hot? ;) I'd say it was more like mug-GY and hot. We're slated for rain and cold front tomorrow (drops 15 degrees), so I'd really expect some big thunderstorms and/or tornado type activity. That big a drop often precipitates bad weather. I am, however, driving the convertible to work with the top down every day. We've been enjoying that.

Had to get my back X-rayed today after which I did a little browsingÃ¢ÂÂ¦.Chico's, Tuesday Morning and Goodwill. Bought Georgy some stuffed animals at Goodwill. Figured if I'm going to buy her toys that she's going to tear apart, I might as well be donating to a good cause. Bought some readers and cocktail napkins at Tuesday Morning and didn't see anything I wanted at Chico's. Later I have to go to the Chiropractor. Looking for some relief from back pain so I can golf on Friday.

Met friend for lunch today. She wanted to take me out for my birthday. We went to a little country diner in a town in between the two of us. Sat and talked for a couple hours.

Now doing laundry and thinking of weed eating, even though it looks like it's going to pour rain any minute. Backyard is looking rough.

Its 87 right now with storms in the area. Went to the orthodontist this morning and also the meat and produce market. Home for the day now! I have a roast in the crockpot. Not really crockpot weather but I need something easy to eat because I got braces on Monday. My teeth were really starting to shift-had to do it. Pitied myself and got a pumpkin pie blizzard for breakfast/lunch this afternoon. I really miss water aerobics.

Sun finally came out and it has ended up being a beautiful day. We did go to Lowes and got the insulation we are needing. Temp got up to 80 so it might make it to 86.

Well, today is my short day. I worked graveyard, so just got up. Took me a long time to unwind this morning to sleep.I think I fell asleep around 7 am.

Going swimming. I found a local therapy pool. I always hated our community pool. This one is for 18 and older and new so not many people know about it yet. I have an Ai Chi class today. I go twice a week and then on other days I do open swim when no other class is going on.

It is paying off. I am so excited. I have been doing it for 3 weeks. 2 months ago I started dieting too,( was pre diabetic) to get my blood sugars down. They are!!! I am have also lost 10 pounds and my joints are so much better! Last night at work I had no trouble squatting and standing without pulling myself up off a shelf or pushing myself up with a lot of huffing and puffing. My joints felt so limber!

Then dinner and that is all for me today. Usually takes me this whole day to make up for graveyard.

I've been doing water aerobics over 15 years.

When I miss several days, my body tells me so.

Frigid 70's and going downhill from here. Would love some warm 90's to enjoy the outdoors. Tooth extraction spot was annoying all day, but subsiding with Happy Hour. A few more and I won't care! Shopped after work, and picked up two $40 items for $8 ea. Love 80% off. Almost ready for that Chop Suey.

water of a different sort! the rain started about 11, and poured here, till about 4....in fact as I post, it's raining on the Detroit tigers....but they can't call the game..(no lightening) and kc has to leave tonight...a cold front is o the agenda for rest of the week..we're talking turing on te heater!

Glenda....I did water aerobics & yoga for a week before I re-injured my knee. The water felt like a massage and there's a hot tub several of us get in afterwards. I like the company of the ladies.There are 2 sessions and both are really FULL. I was surprised @ how little they charge for the class.

It's a really nice social activity.

Hey, Glenda - guess what I did the other day! I took my very first water aerobics class, motivated mostly by your comments and pictures here about it. I've needed some exercise so gave this a try and loved it. It sure wasn't as easy as some might think!
