Had to go to town and pick up Twinkie. He left one truck at WalMart to get the oil changed and tires rotated and balanced. Going back to get it in a little while and then go pick up my DGDs. They're gonna stay with us this afternoon while their parents go fishing.

That's about it - laundry, dishes, etc.

I wish I was with Glenda in the water. The only water I'll be in today is Dish Water and Dog Baths. Eck! Gotta clean out the Refrigerator and Mop Kitchen Floor.

Hopefully, we will meet my DD & SIL at the Lake tomorrow or Sunday if the weather holds out. I haven't seen their new Wake Boat yet.

I'm still drinking coffee for now.

I woke up before 4am and was wide awake and hungry. So around 5am I ate a sausage sandwich and juice and put on some coffee. Then I decided to crawl back in bed. I just got up around 9am!!! That is very late for me. So I am just now getting my day started. I don't have any plans for today.

Wish we had water aerobics here!

This is day 5 of having Drew. Nana's tail is dragging big time and he still has energy to spare! Wish he'd give me some!

Came into the office at 7:30am (normally start at 9AM) after working until midnight yesterday. Have a full workload once it comes in and will probably be at the office until midnight (or later) again. Same goes for tomorrow day. I have a tennis tourney to attend tomorrow night and an out of town trip on Sunday. Back to the grind on Monday.

Got up at 4am, threw in a load of laundry, washed a sinkfull of dishes - I guess my daughter entertained last night-I'm not saying a word, she will be gone in a few weeks and I will be singing the blues, Showered and dressed and got to work. I won't get off work today until 5 and then I'm meeting some friends at the local American Legion, not drinking, just socializing. Tomorrow will be spent at Moms canning whatever her garden has produced this week. She is 75 and still has a big enough garden to feed everybody. Afterwards a pig roast at a friends house and then sunday is bingo day. In between all the running and doing I might find time to clean my house a little. I have a tired smile on my face just thinking about it LOL

Heading out makes me think of my daughter who left at 4:30 this morning to fly to Vermont. She planned to leave her truck where she had to take the bus to travel to O'Hare. I said to her "I hope it doesn't have much gas in it," since I have been reading about people siphoning gas lately. She groaned that she just had it filled. I got up this morning and see her truck is parked in the garage, so I guess her daughter got up in the wee hours to drive her to the bus station.

At least she listens to me once in awhile.

Nothing, maybe check on the canteloupe and melons out back. Should have a ripe one soon! I called in today from work to keep an eye on Alex. He had two wisdom teeth taken out yesterday afternoon. So far he's not in much pain and the swelling isn't that bad.

Lauren and her friend, who spent the night last night went to the Humane Society. They volunteer there. Only problem is Lauren wants me to take all of the dogs she sees there. I almost had to stop her from going about a month ago because she was nearly hysterical over a puppy. I told her if she couldn't control herself she wouldn't be allowed to go anymore. I can't take and save them all.

I might go out later and take Lauren to get her school supplies. We're going tomorrow to do the clothes shopping. Hopefully, Alex will feel up to it by then. Although, he does hate clothes shopping no matter what.

I ran some errands earlier.

In an hour I'm going to head up to the neighborhood pool w/DS and his girlfriend, a cooler of soda and a birthday cake. Four other friends (and Dominos delivery) will meet us there. I've given them til 10pm. So I'm gonna stay, cuz we're that kind of parent. ;o) Always all up in our kids' business.

It's hotter than heck right now, and humid!! But the sky looks iffy. Completely overcast, but not dark, so I'm just not sure. If it stays like this, the pool will be open and empty, which is great. If it rains, I guess I'll bring 'em home for the food, then take them to the Extreme Bowling.

Shoot. And I'm gonna run back up to the store for plastic forks. Darn it all.

I was off work today, and I had errands to do this morning. I also went to a quilt store to check out what they have...I'm getting the urge to get back to quilting.

This afternoon I had an appt for electrolysis, and the technician knew my son from basketball. I also spent some of the day out back with the dogs...they loved it.

The weather was warm and sunny today...it was just perfect.
