Jodi, this is the first time I read the Pier 1 post. I just emailed my daughter in Albuquerque, where there is a GREAT import store.

I asked her, to look for it.

Here is the info you posted before:
Contains 8 oz of High Sierra scented oil, 10 reed sticks and a decorative lid all in a glass bottle. High sierra is a mix of Italian Bergamot, lemon zest, pink lily, ginger root, Jamaican nutmeg, clove bud, teakwood, east Indian sandalwood, patchouli and cedarwood.

Yeah, new exciting merchandise like Fresh Fig, Citrus Cilantro and Crisp Bamboo reed dispensers ... and other flat, boring scents. I couldn't find any others that have a deep woody scent like High Sierra. :-(

Well, I'm still going to write Pier 1 just to send a message and when I do, I will tell them that someone was willing to spend $27.56 for a $12 bottle of the stuff.

Thanks for checking with your DD Moni. There's got to be something similar out there (I hope). The really great thing about the Pier 1 reed diffuser is that it lasted about a year and was strong enough to really work. Of course that was its downfall as well because I didn't go shopping for it until after it had been discontinued and stripped from the shelves by people who already knew what a great scent it was.

And Jodi, they weren't getting enough sales because it lasted so long. They could sell more it it faded out sooner. I just hate when I find something I like and they discontinue it. I used to get a plug in scent thing at Bath and Body in Hazelnut scent (of course) and it's discontinued. I bought up about 15 of them before they went off the shelf. But I'm out of them now.

That's why I quit shopping at Bath & Body Works. Every time I found something I loved they discontinued it.

I know Linda, if B&BW discontinues Moonlit Path I may have a coronary! If they made reed diffusers in Moonlit Path I *may* be somewhat placated and move on from my Pier 1 angst. LOL

Jodi, Moonlit Path has been knocked off by just about every fragrance supplier I know..that scent will always be available! I posted to the other post about what I found out..I really think you might like the scent I talked about in the other post from GenWax. However, we'd have to make you into a master mixer for that one! LOL

Jodi, Call this # for Pier One Customer Relations 1-800-245-4595 and choose Prompt# 5 and tell the lady that you'd like Pier one to bring back the High Sierra fragrance. She said that if the manufacturer has not quit making it then it may be possible for them to bring it back. She said they've brought back fragrances cuz of customer demand. If enuff of us demand it back we might get it back.

I too love Pier 1's HIGH SIERRA scent. I purchased several bottles of it right off the discount rack earlier this year after having purchased one previously at regular price. I'm getting real low on them though as I put 2 bottles throughout my home. I didn't realize it was discontinued. I've also grown to like CRISP BAMBOO and recommend it... I picked up several bottles of this one, also off the discount rack, recently. I will put in a call to the 800 # provided to request for HIGH SIERRA scent to be brought back. Thanks for the updates.

Bealls Florida sells alot of these, maybe you would like some of the scents they have. Here is a link and I think there are 3 pages of the reed dffusers.

I have since purchased two reed dispensers, one from Pier 1 and one from Kohls and dislike them both. I am *very* scent driven and discriminating. I couldn't possibly buy a diffuser (or any scented product) without smelling it first.

Maybe I'll make it my life's goal to call Pier 1 customer service a couple times a week until they promise me they will start carrying High Sierra again.

Terri, does she make diffuser-based scents specifically? Because I'd hate to have her go to the trouble of putting together a High Sierra-like scent only to discover it dissipates too quickly or is not powerful enough.

I called the Pier One store near me and they said that they put it on clearance and it all sold out. I am sorry for you. I hope you are able to find something that you like, as a substitution.

I called again! I had a nice long talk to the gal about how I've discovered a number of people IN LOVE with High Sierra and upset Pier 1 took it off their shelves.
