Anyone done the Amazon cruise?

Dream has always to do that cruise. With International Expeditions based here.

It's on the La Amatista/

Have a special $1000 off if you go in July with a child from 7-18 and book by March 15.

Don't know if I too old to go being as I am 72.

That looks like one amazing cruise! I think both you and your grandson are the perfect age to do this adventure...go for it! You'll both love it. I can't believe there are only 28 guests on board...imagine the personal attention you'll get!

i wanted to go and take all of my kids and g'kids but they thought i was crazy! couldn't do it now but i say go for it!

Hey all! I just recently bought a "Christine" Amazon Lily (Eucharis Amazonica), and I'm confused as to how much light it should be getting. It is currently out on my patio (southern-facing exposure), but is on the coffee table in the center of the patio where it should receive only earlier day direct light (if that). It is currently very humid here (zone 10, SW Florida), and I have just put it into an 8" pot. Only received it earlier this week, but I'm noticing tiny yellow spots, with a little bit of brown inside the yellow on a couple of leaves, and I'm wondering if it is too hot/too much direct light? I had it closer to the screen enclosure, where it was receiving a lot more light, and just moved it tonight. The potting soil I used has fertilizer in it, but am wondering if I shouldn't feed it? Thoughts? Also, does anyone know when the blooming season is here in FL? Where I'm at, it very rarely gets cold enough to actually freeze. Daytime temps are usually (at the coldest) in the upper 50's-mid 70's. However, humidity levels plummet in winter here. Would misting help during these hotter months, or will simply keeping it watered well suffice? I'm new to this plant, and want to make sure it grows well! Thanks for any advice!

Alisande, I know. I don't care, but DH does. This is the credit card company that allowed an old canceled card to be used and the purchases were put on our new card! They are the ones who canceled the old card in the first place because of "suspicious activity". So it's cancel the card or keep it and maybe get more fraudulent charges? I don't know. I think I'd rather have a lowered credit score instead of having to deal with getting charges removed off my account.

I have not sold back any BOOKS, but I DID sell back an XBOX 360.. It was in PRISTINE condition amd had been purchased FROM them (which is why they solicited me to ask if I wanted to sell it back) and I had all parts, instructions, etc.. They quoted me a price, but when the system arrived at their facility, they sent me a revised price MUCH MUCH MUCH lower.. I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of Amazon...am a Prime member and have been buying from them since the early years when they often included a little gift in the box (lile a pack of Post-It notes or similar) but I was extremely disappointed in this transaction.

Yes, I am also watching. The stories are very good, some more than others, but all IMO are well done. I've watched six so far, and still like the first one best of all. I think there should be a book out there, The Stories Doormen Can Tell"...

Do it! I've never been on the Amazon. Sounds like a great deal. Go to a travel agent NOW, they can get the best deals. And take your grandson, assuming he's the right age.

GS knows all about it. He is excited. And I got all the brochures this week.

I do have a travel agent, as well as International Expeditions who heads this particular boat.

Has to be in July cause it's family time.

Holland America is a wonderful cruise line.....The best food of any line that we have been on and a better atmosphere...

I've not done that cruise, Glenda, but I have been to the Amazon, we stayed in one of the jungle camps not far from Iquitos. It is one of the most memorable trips I have done, DO IT! You are a very young 72 and in wonderful shape, make a wonderful memory for your GS.

This is a river boat cruise. Only small number of people on it. International Expeditions is known for their small boat cruises.
