Ruthie, your strong and, yes, healthy spirit shines through your writing. Reading this in my old farmhouse on a dirt road, I laughed at your rebuttal to the doctor's instructions to walk around the block or go to the mall. :-)

I followed your advice and got a chest x-ray last week. Happy to report it was clear. Thanks for being concerned about all of us.

Ruthie, I just read your update. It is amazing what they can do now. It's not like 5 years ago when they closed you up and that was it. The treatments are so much better and can take care of those cancer cells.
You are still in my tboughts and prayers. I know what you mean about the expense. It's unreal what all this cost!

Wow what a really nice surprise. I just love my CaringBridge site and read it off and on throughout the day. I am in total shock that so many people are keeping tabs on me there. I laughed so hard last night when I read my daughter's comments because she sounded so much like me in the way she worded her post. Thank you all for the kind words, prayers, and encouragement....maryanntx, I know you are right and I might go out feet first but I guarun-dam-tee you, it will be after the biggest fight ever seen.
