Prayers needed please...

just got a call from my grandma. My cousin's little one year old son, Maximus, pulled a tv down on top of him which landed on his head. They flew him from the hospital here in town to the Akron Children's hospital. All that my grandma knows for now is that he has a fractured skull and he is unconscious, and that the cat scan they just did shows that the swelling is going down. Please pray that this little one pulls through this.

My special thoughts going out to your Terry for a successful outcome. I hope all is well this morning. I spent yesterday with a cousin whose husband had a liver transplant about 9 years ago. He has done wonderfully and is working, leading a normal life. Yes, miracles do happen.

Just found out the ( the young man and family) had their furniture stored there also. They had moved with her mom who could not live by herself as she recovered from some serious surgery and the loss of her husband.

The wake was yesterday in a large Catholic church, which luckily was air conditioned. The crowds were enormous, the lines long, but well arranged once inside the church. The funeral was today and was a beautiful testament to a life well lived, but taken too early. The major roadways to and from the church to the burial grounds were blocked off-the motorcade was long. As we gathered at his final resting place in Lexington for the burial- there were NO dry eyes in the crowd. From there we went to a local Marriott for a luncheon and for more time to mingle with the family and friends who were part of this young man's life. Now the "kids" are off to be by themselves and will come "back home" to their family home for respite. We expect a crowd here tonight. Love your children, hold them close, realize what precious gifts they are. In a blink of an eye so much can change.........and please consider organ donation. So many are waiting for the gifts of continued life. Thank you for reading this.

Will keep him in my thoughts. When I worked in a pediatric emergency - this was not an uncommon occurrance. Little ones climb and furniture topples easily.

How awful! I have a one year old and know how quickly accidents can happen. I pray he makes a full recovery!

Oh, how scary.

I know that children can sometimes recover more quickly from injuries than adults, so I'm sending extra-positive thoughts out to the little guy and all of those who love him.

Oh that is soo sad...what a horrible acccident. Prayers going out for the little one that he will be just fine. I have read so many stories about this same kind of accident with little ones. You need eyes in the back of your head to keep them safe.

Oh my, that's so scary and happens way more often than we hear about. Good thoughts for the little guy. His parents must be sick. Such an awful accident. Keep us updated when you hear, ok?
