For my niece that had all the surgeries a few weeks ago for the Carcinoid tumor in her liver then developed peritonitis and had several more surgeries.I think she has had 6 within about a month.She is still in the hospital and is not doing well at all.She now has an abcess in her liver the size of a golf ball and the perforations in her intestines still hasn't healed.They did a procedure today to drain the abcess because they couldn't do any more surgery.One doctor(who has since been taken off the case by request of the family) told my sister that she should be prepared for the worse two weeks ago.They said the perforation would eventually heal but they don't know what is going to happen with the liver abcess.She doesn't have a spleen,it was remover in a prior Carcinoid surgery,so it will be harder for her body to heal.Anyway,prayers for her and the family would be greatly appreciated.
