Yes, we live in southern California, and my sons tell me that when they were in high school, their classmates were often getting implants. I cannot imagine the discomfort when they are pregnant some day!

When I had my mammogram, I asked the ex ray tech if the Mammograms had to be done differently on someone with the implants . She said that twice as many exrays had to be done on each breast on the implanted boobs. All I can say is.....OUCH!!! I would be afraid that as hard as the poor boobs are squished, the implant might burst.
It is a sorry time we are in when teens are so unhappy with themselves, they resort to these artificial means.

Read today of preschoolers getting manicures and pedicures! It was touted as "together time with Mother."

I did not have a daughter, but personally I think it would be a fun thing to do with her. I would not make remarks about looking better. I think it would give a child a sense of not looking good enough.

About the Botox, wonder how long they have been doing that. The young man who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, has the lumpiest face I have ever seen. By the third movie I started noticing it and it was much worse the last time I saw him.

Mark Hamill was involved in a car accident in 1977 which required extensive surgury to put his face back together. His facial surgery was not due to vanity.

No matter how good of a job the doctors do with reconstruction surgery, the face never ages properly.

There's a local newscaster who has been practically ODing on Botox. She looks horrendous and is a lousy newscaster to boot. Scrambling to regain something she doesn't have. Parents that let/force their kids to do these things, whether it's Botox, unneeded plastic surgery, tatoos, piercings and the like should have the kids taken away from them AFAIC. I rate it as nothing more than child abuse.

I think Lisa had more than just her lips botoxed. But what a shame with the outcome. She's a pretty girl otherwise.

I saw that segment too about the teen injections. Makes me wonder where they are getting the money to do this at $100+ a pop. They'll surely be sorry in years to come when their real face ages quicker than then can keep the injections working.

Look at Joan Rivers. Her whole face doesn't even move.... UGLY!!!

The person who botched Priscilla's face is now in jail and she settled out of court. He was posing as a doctor and injected women with chemicals he smuggled into the US.

So true. But it starts very early with many little girls. You would think we have come a long way but there are still too many mommies and daddies who treat their little girls like Barbies and implant the idea of cute and perky over brains and personality at a very young age.

Just look at how some little tots are dressed these days. Look at the 6 and 7 year olds with streaks in their hair.

There was a report awhile back of spa dates for little ones. Some salon owners reported (and complained) that their clients were bringing in their pre-pubescent daughters (some as young as 8) for bikini waxes and Brazilians to "ready" them for their teens.

No wonder they think they need botox by their late teens. It's all they have been taught.

Harry and his wife both look like they have been through the revolving door at the plastic surgeon's office. Men never look good with an eyelift. It gives a weird cat eyed look that can look OK on women but makes a man look like an alien.

Have you seen Marie Osmond on her commercials. She doesn't look like the same person I used to see. Her looks have really changed.

There is nothing as beautiful as a teenager. Why would they need surgery to doctor their looks? As for me, I fear needles and pain. I'll buy any face cream they put on the market but no needles and scalpels for me! I don't even want a peel-several friends have had them, they look like the worst sunburn ever! Yowtch!

And Lisa Rinna is the character above, right? I agree - nothing at all attractive about those awful (IMO) lips.

Plastic - a gang of plastic looking people. As for teenagers? Yes - how sad that some of them are so focused on looks even before their faces are fully matured. Sad.

Regarding the teenagers getting necessary Botox treatments...I blame the greedy doctors. Doctors who work in plastic surgery are known to keep pushing treatments on patients to keep running up the bill.

Teenagers are very susceptible to pressure from adults who tell them something is 'for their own good' and 'really necessary'. (Well, some are.) They may even be getting pressure from parents who try to micro manage the young person's life as a mirror to their own life and accompanying shortcomings.

Even if a teen comes to the office requesting treatment, a plastic surgeon still has the option to say "NO!". Blame the doctors who do these procedures.

I know a 19 year old girl that has been requesting breast implants for Christmas - she wants her parents to pay for it. Her mom says she has wanted this for as long as she can remember. When I first met this woman she pointed out the daughter as the "one with the little b**bs." No wonder the daughter wants implants. She's probably been teased by her parents about this her whole life. I think her parents should be slapped upside the head!

The poor girl is barely 5 foot and about 100 pounds. I think a bigger chest will make her look very strange. Right now she is right for her body.

Yep - it disgusts me but unfortunately this is society. I would not want to be a teen today.

Scissors - I wouldn't want to be a teen today either.

This whole thing is just very sad. Kids that age should be developing their inner character, not their outer shell.

I wonder how much of this is the parent's doing. I think some parents think of their kids as accessories to play with.
