Don't forget--Free Paint

Tomorrow is Free Paint Saturday at your local Ace Hardware. All you have to do is fill out the coupon (they have them in the store) and you can get a quart of any color--they'll mix it up for you. Great for touch-ups or craft projects. They generally do this about once a month. Dh and I will be there bright and early for ours.

oh that is a great idea I have been wanting to get some that matches the paint that is in my entire house, we have none at all for touch ups.

Bumping as a reminder--we got ours! DH got black to paint the kickboard on the kitchen island, I got green for some Christmas crafts I have in mind.

If you're going for a farmhouse/beach feel then you should paint your cabinets. How light and bright. Sherwin Williams aged white semi gloss in Pro Classic formula is a dream to work with I painted mine and love them! One coat Kilz and two coats paint. allowing 2 days drying time between each coat and 2 weeks cure before reinstalling doors and it's bullet proof

d f , your kitchen looks great ! I think it's silly to say you can't put warm colors and cool colors together. d f's kitchen proves that you can, and it can look good. Why limit yourself and what you can do ? I think most people assume that gray is always cool, but there are also warm grays. I don't try to be trendy as a rule, and I use what I like. I had gray walls before it became a trend, and will have them after it's outdated. I'm not going to paint my oak cabinets white just because that's the trend right now. Also, some of us like a warm look in our homes, as opposed to a cool gray and white look.

Thank you for your responses! We have obvious rust spots on our deck railing but we're replacing that (which I told the first guy). The house is currently a yellow-beige and I don't see rust spots anywhere else right now so I'm not sure where they think rust spots will emerge! I will get a few more contractors to weigh in.

I did not get mine we had to go generator shopping and get stuff for the RV we never made it to the paint.
Maybe next time if I remember.

I was kind of shocked. You could choose between Clark + Kensington, the paint with primer added, or Benjamin Moore even though the ads only mentioned C+K.

I wish I'd been paying more attention to the Ace ads. Got ours today, but they said that this was their last one this year. Don't know about other areas.
