We went to Valentino's in Lincoln. Yumm yumm. Mom went with me. She took the picture.

So far, Izzi isn't afraid of thunder. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. The tight shirt reminded me of Harley, Amber's dog. When he wears a tight doggie shirt, he won't pee on my floor. So good, because when he comes here he really lets loose! Mike named them Lake Uries! Hope the tee shirt works. I wonder if the motion sickness meds would work, I think it is called Dramamine? In the beginning I had to give it to Izzi as she would always throw up in the car. It didn't take but a half tablet a few times and she got over the sickness. This is what the vet had me to do for her. Good luck. She is sure a pretty doggie. Sue

Enjoy your hummers! I just ordered 2 new feeders off of Ebay, got the Droll Yankee Happy Eights for a really good price, about $9 under retail, each. Shipping kind of negates the savings, but I got to shop in my pajamas and didn't have to pay any tax. lol Prepare to be invaded, we're getting lots of h-birds down here.

Thank you so much (again) everyone. I'm much calmer than I was a couple of days back. I spoke with my ex-boss, the architect. My BF went to the house, remeasured the downstairs and there will be plans drawn up so I can bring a professional blueprint with me to bring to the DOB. May as well, as there are a few other things being done in the house besides the kitchen which I don't feel comfortable drawing up. Then, my understanding of it is - I'll be given the applications for everyone (and I'll do my own for the drywall). Will have to coordinate the subs again to have them fill out their paperwork, and go back to the Building Department to drop it all off. And then, hopefully wait only about a week and voila! Approval. BTW - as it turns out it does not necessary take 3-4 weeks. That, was a scare tactic from the secretary. The official said they typically get it done in about 5 days once they receive everything but usually say longer "just in case" and this way, they look like a hero if it goes through quickly. Much better! So, if I'm lucky maybe the whole set-back will only be 2 weeks. Not so bad. And I got the feeling that I do not have to worry about anyone poking around to see inside in the meantime - or even before we begin again. I am still a bit concerned about that beam, however, as a friend said what I can do is just look the inspector in the eye and say "Hey - do you think I'm that stupid to leave that exposed if we HAD placed that there? Geez, we would have tried to cover it up by now to hide it!" Hehehe.

If you enjoy a buffet, Vals is a good place to go to when visiting the capital city. Good price, lots of choices!

Thanks for a fun visit ladies. In a nutshell--I ate enough for the rest of the day, Diane and Leslie look younger than last year (how do you do that?), Ms. Nita (Leslie's mom) was a pleasure to dine with and some people from the kt might have ringing ears today!( lol, oh maybe a little ringing.)

Thanks for getting us together for our yearly food feast and chat. It worked great today, especially after getting the girls off to 4-h camp.

Our picture looks pretty good, better than the floor shot too! ;)

LOL, Mom will get the hang of taking digital pictures. At least she kept it to the top half. Thanks Mom.
Glenda, no I wasn't dressed up, but Diane and Toni were. I had on denim capri's and sandals.
We should have had that guy take the picture of all 4 of us.
I had fun, and it's always fun getting together. I would have liked to stay longer, but...next time.

Sorry I'm so slow to respond...........I still can't believe my sister doesn't have a computer!!! I have so many KT messages to catch up on.
Thanks Leslie, Toni and Nita for coming to Lincoln to see me. It was great catching up and to finally meet Nita.
