My Mom's dog used to squeze herself behind the toilet whenever she heard thunder.

I read on the KT to put a tight fitting tee shirt on a dog in that situation. It really seemed to help my parents dog. Might be worth a try-of course you would have to catch her first!!

Great picture Liz....Our Molly is the same way....every time we have a storm, she is stuck to someone.

Poor gal! I feel for her! Our Doxie is terrified and getting worse during thunderstorms. I just posted at the Pets Forum wondering about using Benadryl for her.
Abby looks so darn cute peeking out from behind the curtain! Was she checking to see if the knockers were still there? :)

She is very pretty.. The vet will give you something to help take the edge off during storms. I can't remember what the vet gave us for Bear, but it worked for him.

The tight fitting T-shirt worked for our dog. Didn't have to catch her. After a time or two she went right to the drawer where we kept it. That's a great picture.

Our dog jumps in bed with us if storms come up in the night. And boy she gets really tight against me too. Daytime, I just hold her on the sofa. I will try the t-shirt thing though as I have a small tee-shirt that should do the trick.

The t-shirt worked for our Collie-Shepherd. Before that, she used to gnaw on the woodwork during a t-storm. :-(

She is such a sweet girl...it's a shame she has this ONE phobia...it never fazed Duncan and Gabe would go out and play in the rain if we'd let him....

I know what you mean about the term "Knockers"...DH came up with thunderknockers now it's just "Knockers"...I grew up hearing them called "the tater wagon is coming"...my kids babysitter always told them it was "Angels going bowling"...

I'm gonna give the t-shirt a try...do I have to cut it or something? I'll be thinkin about you the first time we try that out....and as much rain as we've had lately...it might be later today!

Poor Millie is so deaf she can't even hear thunder any more although it never really bothered her. DD's dog routinely jumps in the bathtub when she is going about her business.

So far, Izzi isn't afraid of thunder. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. The tight shirt reminded me of Harley, Amber's dog. When he wears a tight doggie shirt, he won't pee on my floor. So good, because when he comes here he really lets loose! Mike named them Lake Uries! Hope the tee shirt works. I wonder if the motion sickness meds would work, I think it is called Dramamine? In the beginning I had to give it to Izzi as she would always throw up in the car. It didn't take but a half tablet a few times and she got over the sickness. This is what the vet had me to do for her. Good luck. She is sure a pretty doggie.
