My point was do people realize how easy information they type on here might be gotten through Google? I just read today about a teacher who was fired for something she wrote on her Facebook as she didn't realize people other than her "Friends" might see her comments. If you look through your Friend's "Friend" list you often see their comments if they don't have them protected.

If you type marygailv gardenweb - your posts will come up too. That's one of the reasons I don't use my real name here- you never know who might read what you've posted.

I would not want my kids' names to come up on a google search.

The fixation from some peeps on "outing" this poor woman as a fake/liar/fraud borders on OCD. My Gawd, it's hilarious!

The point about the kids' names coming up in a Google search was made repeatedly during FMW's posts, by people who were cautioning her to be careful about what she posted publically.

When my real name is entered into a Google search, quite a few links will come up. But there is absolutely nothing of which I am ashamed or would want to hide. You'd get links to my web site with genealogy information about my family and my hubs' family; links to fundraisers for AIDS research with which I was involved (my brother died from AIDS-related complications), etc.

Just because someone's name is searchable on Google doesn't mean the world will come to an end.

Well this is one of those "red flags" that came up often. FW was so very concerned with her DD's safety and yet she ignored everyone's ADAMANT advice to stop using their names and delete her past posts! She was so paranoid about her Facebook page and yet blatantly posted the girls' names here and sooooo much information about their day to day lives- the very thing well-meaning ppl kept cautioning her about. Why wouldn't she heed the advice? Didn't she care? Or maybe the story is fake...

Sheesh...let's stop beating this dead horse.

Interesting comment, hale bopp. You've certainly posted the names of your son and your daughter on more than one occassion. I don't participate heavilly at the KT, but even I know their names.

You've also posted their pictures, as do many, many of the proud parents who post here. Don't you care? I'm certain your stories of Bella and Luca going to work with their Dad aren't fake.

FW is not only a new Mom. She's an instant Mom. She's excited. She's overwhelmed. She's proud. She's in serious need of information and guidance. This witch hunt doesn't help anyone. If, on the off hand, her story is fake, take pity on a woman who needs this kind of validation.

It's more than sad that people who sign their posts with Blessings, and proudly tell anyone who will listen just how loving and Christian they are, that they have no understanding for someone who needs help - to either make the lives of her children better - or just needs some attention.

If you're all so sure she's a fraud, stop responding to her. You know. Just SOB.

No, no, no, no! Don't get me wrong! I said "doesn't she care" with tongue firmly in cheek. I'm all for posting pics of kids. There's a disconnect for people here- they're ignoring the fact that this woman is IGNORING the good advice posted. I for one don't care if she posts pics. I'm just bringing to attention another red flag- but people don't want to see it.

Yarnlover, it doesn't sound like you've even read any of my other posts in regards to this situation. I am somewhat of a BELIEVER of her story, however there are INCONSISTENCIES which do make me doubt. AND I'm arguing for people to have the RIGHT to QUESTION. No one "demanded" anything. We said it'd be nice to see a pic, especially since she said she would eventually. It's HER perogative, but we have the right to ask! She doesn't have to answer. She chose to be offended. No one got mean until people got indignant that she was being questioned- then the name calling started.

I hope you're not referring to ME(!?) that I tell anyone who listens just how loving and Christian I am. I'm broken. I'm dysfunctional. I'm a sinner and yep. I make mistakes! Guess I'd better go hide in a hole! I understand that she needs help. I was the first one to post to FW asking for her address. As time went on, things just got weird. I say over and over again that I hope the d@mned story's real. ::Shrug:: Why would I want to spend time on praying for a situation or offer assistance to someone faking a story?

Okay it sounds like some of you have too much time on your hands, if you want to google, look up monkey farts.

Some people believe the story, that is okay, some people doubt it that is okay, but if FMW feels a need to come up with what you believe to be an outrageous story to tell all of us after years of being here and posting, why shouldn't we feel sorry for her for needing to lie. She didn't ask for money, she didn't ask for help and she sure as h#$$ didn't ask to be attacked.

Actually we don't know if it was Kim that made up the lie. Anybody could have got on her computer and said whatever they wanted. I think she claimed it was her boyfriend/husband that did it. Maybe it was?? If somebody clicks on the Kitchen Table from my home computer they can post whatever they like and it will look like I said it. I rarely have to sign in here.

Her husband supposedly made the post that she died. It was such a rediculous story, She died that morning, poor kids, please send Christmas gifts, etc., it immediately raised flags.

As soon as she realized that everyone knew it was a lie, she said that they had been out of town and her two nephews broke into her house and used her computer.
