Do you love dogs and jigsaw puzzles

I enjoyed doing this 500 piece puzzle so much. 75 dogs...thats 150 eyes to find! It is made by ART puzzles. Normally I only 'puzzle' during cold weather, but I couldn't wait to start on this one.

What a challenge! How long did it take you? Does the box tell you the name of each breed?

Nice job!

I order a lot of puzzles from Bits and Pieces Catalog. I order as many as 10 at a time and have them sent directly to my very limited income sister-in-law 2 states away. When she is done with them, I pick them up and do them. When I am done I pass them to a neighbor. When she is done, she donates them to the VA hospital. Another very good source is White Mountain Puzzles. Check out the link. Here is a link that might be useful: White Mountain Puzzles

Jigsaw puzzle sorting trays

Those sorting boxes aren't very big, so not as many pieces are viewable at once as in a larger tray or whatever. The sorting boxes could be helpful, though, and maybe they are a good gift to a jigsaw puzzler. Yeonassky--with a 2000 piece puzzle you would need a lot of sorting space! Are you the one who works without looking at the picture???? Fun--those mats look very handy. I'd only have room for one. Yellow color is helpful. lgmd--shoebox lid....brilliant. The sides aren't too high to shade the pieces near the edge. I do find with the cake pans and box lid that the sides are a little high. jkay-- paper plates another good idea, maybe the firm white ones (not slippery, not print). foggy--baking sheets would be good as well because of the low sides. sushi--cake pans, yes, are good. I found a pie pan today which might work too. Thanks everyone, Happy puzzling. I splurged and bought a $20 puzzle today, but I'm looking forward to working it and it will take me a while.

Hearty second for the these mosaic puzzles. I've ordered them as gifts with great feedback from recipients. We trade them aroung the neighborhood now, too. You can re-order the same puzzle, and it will come with a different cut, so you can enjoy it again. Expensive compared to cardboard, but so satisfying, and can be assembled multiiple time without damage.

I see a Besenji!!! I met one a number of years ago and have been fascinated with them.

One of my favourites is the Bernese Mountain dog and he's there too. I love that puzzle gazania!

I've got one that's all cats and it's the World's Impossible brand....the picture is printed on both sides of the pieces. Very very hard, but oh so gratifying when it's done. One side is turned 90 degrees.

I see the little Wire Hair Fox Terrier. Just like my little WHFT mix that went over the rainbow bridge Monday. :(

That would be a fun puzzle. My Mom used to do puzzles I wonder if she'd appreciate one like this.

When I read the title of the post, my first thought was, "Yes to both, but they don't mix".

I was expecting a teeny rant about a dog chewing up a few puzzle pieces, LOL.

Nice job and it looks like a fun puzzle.

Love jigsaw puzzles. I see a Wheaton just like my friend's dog and a Lab like mine. I usually do puzzles in the winter too but I have been itching to do one.

Socks, I have never kept track of the time spent on a puzzle. If I did, I would probably feel so guilty that I would ban them from the house.

Jasdip, I love a challenging jigsaw puzzle, but there is no way that I would start on one of those doublesided ones. Yesterday afternoon at Barnes and Noble I saw some. I didn't want to tempt myself and quickly exited the store.

Sunshines, my sister has dibs on this puzzle next. After that I will add it to a box of puzzles that will be donated to the local VA Hospital. They really appreciate them there.

I do my jigsaw puzzles on the computer. That way I'm not searching for puzzle pieces since my cat likes to bat them off the table and they disappear.
