I'm stupid. I got bit by my own dog....
Comments (65)The first one or two might have been some sort of a rescue. Loyal was from her '05 batch of puppies and she kept him. Read above in one of the posts. She's planning on letting Isis have two more litters before that dog hits RETIREMENT so she can maybe get a female puppy she can't part with to keep while the rest of the litters would be given away again. But then she might get Sagira back that could also have litters of more puppies but she won't know until February. A female puppy could keep her breeding program going since Isis will be to RETIREMENT age soon. I don't think any of her dogs are spayed or neutered. I guess with so many animals getting nuked because there aren't enough homes to go around why is anybody breeding hybrids OR making more puppies of any breed that need homes with all kinds of low cost spay-neuter programs out there? These hybrids aren't exactly great family pets and they do seem to bite and kill a lot so why do it? These hybrids don't have behavioral issues, those are their behaviors. Her own husband said she should have known better than to get close to the sharp end. HELLLLLLLLLLLLO! These aren't great pets, they even gnaw on each other....See MoreAlmost got attacked at the dog park
Comments (6)I have been to dog parks where the owners were neglectful of their unleashed dog. In one instance a greyhound was ripped open at the flank and had to have 80 some odd stitches. The owners of the dog who did the attacking said to just put hydrogen peroxide on it. I think the owner of the mastiff was attntive, alert and mindful of his dog as you were, it is the owner talking to another, reading, or sipping coffee with a blank look on their face which you have to watch out for. I ALWAYS hook my dog up onto a leash before we say hi to any new dog, because you just dont know how dogs are going to react to each other. One lady told me she never worries about her dog, he is not aggressive, this is the same dog which chased our car over a quarter of a mile from where she was standing not 2 weeks later, trying to get at my dog in the back seat...Dogs will be dogs, and usually things are okay, I have taken my dog to an unleashed dog park for years without incident. I might add that we spend time at the fence and wait for the other dogs to sniff, and break up any type of pack mentalitity if the dog park is fenced. These can be the worse places because a pack can corner your dog in a matter of seconds....Hope everyone is okay....See MoreOh joy! Someone got a new dog!
Comments (5)CR,do you live out in the country?? I ask because you have so many dogs, and where i live(own my own home,no HOA's etc) we're not allowed to have that many, and it's a good thing,as far as i'm concerned. I don't have any animals now,but that hasn't always been the case.I gave my son his dog back last year, and decided then i didn't want anymore.Easy decision for me as dh didn't want most of the ones we had,so he's a happy camper now.LOL Kathi...See MoreGot the dog...
Comments (31)You know Mike it is normal for this adjustment to be bittersweet with memories of Ruger and Nikky coming to the fore. But it sure sounds like Mason needs you and you need him. I predict that in time you will wonder how you ever lived without Mason. The love you have for Ruger and Nikky will be come the legacy of the love you will find yourself having for Mason. Furkids do that. :-) There is always room in our hearts for more without displaying the old....See Morepatti43
