I am giving my kitchen a good cleaning.. We have been canning and freezing the past week.. I must say it is looking good!!

I'm not off work, so I'm working no matter how nice and sunny it is! But, I do get off work at 2 p.m. Then we're going to hunt up a place setting of blue transferware dishes (stored in a box in the basement) to take to donate for a silent auction tomorrow night. The silent auction is at Eagle River, MI, and is part of a festival held there every year to raise money to repair and maintain an old footbridge that is a historic site in the town. They close off a street, have local groups providing music, have food, silent auction, and a just plain old fashioned good time. We go every year, but this is the first time we're taking something to donate to the auction. Usually we just buy things on the auction :-)

no plans other than getting garbage collected...with all the recycling we do now, it's gone from 1 can to 4...glad I have a good sized kitchen with nooks to put containers in!

Today is supposed to be an in day~~Tues/Thurs are days I do not go out. But, it is not going to work out~~I need to go 'Hunting and Gathering' AKA errands and grocery shopping today. I am going to try and get out of here soon and get it done. Then lazy around the rest of the day~~

Tomorrow I will be with DD#2 at her swim meet all day in the OC~~~will be there on Sat also, that is when DH will go;) I have to go shopping to so I can have lots of muchies to eat will chillin'.

I had my usual 9 a.m. radiation, came home and grabbed Harry to take to his blood work appointment at 10. Got there with 3 minutes to spare only to find out his appointment was for next week. Back home--load of laundry in the washer, collected trash for the trash compactor, took it, got clothes in the dryer and another load in the washer. Decided to go out for lunch but the diner was absolutely packed so decided to wait til a little later. After that it's back to radiation at 4. In the meantime, gotta fold clothes and put away.

Don't like busy days that much!

Oh, Patti, hats off to you, your schedule exhausts me just reading about it. I hope this time of appointments, schedules goes quickly for you and you'll be healthy and back to normal life soon.

I need to call for a window a replacement, get someone here to update the sprinkling system, do some other things this new-to-us-house could use, and I've been dragging my feet, not wanting my days interrupted just now. I'll quit doing that, if you can do it, I certainly can.

It's not a beautiful sunny day here, it's foggy to the point of dripping off the trees at almost 11 AM. Life on the Washington coast :( Yesterday on the news I saw where Seattle was still 87 at dinner time, Olympia had approached 90 when my friend was Costco shopping, and my mother in Longview was complaining she may not be able to sleep with her house so warm (my brother put an air conditioner in the 'living end' of her home last month but not the bedrooms end). We topped out at about 62 here and I had a jacket on installing a couple of shrubs.

I just went out to get my yesterdays mail before the mailman gets here today supposed to get up to 103 today !! I'd like to go to a couple of stores but DS doesnt want to get out in this heat

I have been shopping with Amber and Alyssa most of the day. We ate food from Wendy's as that is where Alyssa requested. I only shopped at Sam's Club, Tractor Supply and Meijer. We ran into my niece for a brief chat. Now I am finally home, it is very hot and humid out today. Had some rain where we were, so that made it even hotter!

Took my friends dog for a walk, baked two loaves zucchini bread and 2 dozen cupcakes, went to the grocery store for a few items, did two loads of wash and now am getting ready to go out for dinner to celebrate DH's birthday.

Got up and took my little dog to the vet. She was acting strange all day yesterday and last night, like she was in pain and shaking like a leaf. Turns out it was an impacted anal gland and it was getting infected. Poor baby, the vet said that is extremely painful for the little dogs. So they took care of that and gave me some meds for her.
We came home and I did some chores, took a little nap, just feel worn out today for some reason.

Patti, I don't know how you do it! You are amazing, all of that while getting radiation and chemo, wow. I hope you keep going strong.

The heat here is fierce, I try to stay in doors! Thank goodness for the nice new AC unit.

I had cataract surgery yesterday, so had to be at the doctor's office today to get my "pirate" bandage off and have him examine the eye. Having flashing lights to the left, but he said that is normal due to swelling and will subside in about a week. Came home and have napped off and on all day. Get up to have hubby put the 3 different drops in, then go nap some more. LOL

Just had a stay at home day today but have a very busy day tomorrow!

My daughter brought the two grandsons down for a 3 day last hurrah visit before school starts. They are 3 1/2 and 6 1/2. The 6 year old starts 1st grade next Tuesday. They were so happy when they arrived to find a tree that was being cut down and turned into firewood in the back yard. The older one just loves playing with sticks. They rolled the large logs around to construct a "truck" and had a delightful time till the workers returned that afternoon.

They left today, and it is nice and quiet. My daughter is a cheerful, patient, lovely mother. Her boys are happy and well behaved. The younger one will start preschool in a month. The older one impresses me with the reading skills he developed in kindergarten. More reading in first grade and I am guessing lots of adding and subtracting too.

I rode my bike to work, and then home. Next, help kids learn to ride a bike by volunteering with "I can bike".

Then, home, dinner, and mowed my lawn.

Now, I have to alter this xlarge T-shirt to fit me, and then off to bed.

Yep, a busy work day all around.

where do you go for these water aerobics? Is it a YWCA or just a town pool? How do you join these things? I really need something to do.

I belong to the Y and they have an awesome water aerobics program. Been doing this for 15 or more years. It's become part of my life and my body benefits from it.

They also have a great Silver Sneakers program. One I enjoy is Senior Yoga stretch. Love it!
