Yum Alisande! I love it too!

Spider alert! If you don't like them...scroll by...fast. I shot this one the other night. Today, I am spraying around the outside of our house.

This Spring is the first time I've discovered a Tufted Titmouse nest in my orchard - I saw one of the pair picking up wet leaves and/or mud and flying to the old apple tree and into a small hole in a branch. I know they are cavity nesters but as I said never got to see them actually setting up home. Love the owl pics.

Our daughter turned 24 last week so we had a celebration at a place in downtown Los Angeles last Friday. Here she is getting a red velvet cupcake surprise. (P.S. she made her dress ... and finished it ... two hours before the party) Jodi-

This must be lily day. This one is "Double Ethel". Haven't got her planted yet, still in the pot. There are some funny names for lillies, my favorite is "Nelly's belly"!!

Rescued orphaned bears, that were to be released to the wild when ready!
Two playing and totally unaware of humans :o)

Well, Vique, yesterday I made squash panckes, a big family favorite. But usually I either slice and steam them or cook in chicken brothÂeither as a soup or drained as a side dish.

My SIL has a great recipe for a casserole with sour cream, but I try to avoid saturated fat.

Very good selection of pictures, love them all....

Bigack, the pictures of the animals look like the ones my brother in law has in his shop...He's a taxidermist and has every thing under the sun on display...In fact, he has several bears......

Vicki, nice spider shot. Those black widows are sure scary. I just found out that here in CA we also have a brown widow--a less agressive but more poisonous spider than the black. They have an egg sack with little spikes sticking out all over it, and I saw some of those in my pot ghetto, so I'll have to be careful!

Very good pics everyone! Here's mine for the day--flowers being prepped for the January 1, 2008 Rose Parade.

A lurker here with a question!
What kind of plants are those in Socks picture? I have one that was given to me, and would like to find information on it. This is the red ones that kind of look like a peace lily.
By the way, I love looking at all the pics here! Someday I will learn how to post pics and join in.

Thanks!

Oh Moni, isn't Glacier N.P. the most beautiful place? I want to go back there sometime.

Wonderful pictures today.
I was able to drive through Glacier NP back in 1974 but have never had the chance to go hiking there. It is such a beautiful place. Maybe someday.
