Great bird pics! However, I'm still having fun with my dad's negatives. Here's my mom in the middle with her sister Charlotte on the right. This is the only time we saw or heard from an accordion. Charlotte must have borrowed it. I'm in front of Charlotte, and her daughter Terry is next to me.

Oh my gosh, I love the picture ronf posted. It looks like the owl is carved out of the inside of the tree. Cool.

Thanks, vique. I was walking through the woods and just happened to spot him there. Now, I never go past that tree without checking for an owl but haven't ever seen one there since. The picture was taken at least three years ago.

This Spring is the first time I've discovered a Tufted Titmouse nest in my orchard - I saw one of the pair picking up wet leaves and/or mud and flying to the old apple tree and into a small hole in a branch. I know they are cavity nesters but as I said never got to see them actually setting up home.
