This Spring is the first time I've discovered a Tufted Titmouse nest in my orchard - I saw one of the pair picking up wet leaves and/or mud and flying to the old apple tree and into a small hole in a branch. I know they are cavity nesters but as I said never got to see them actually setting up home. Love the owl pics.

Good afternoon everyone. I'm a lurker of many years at the KT and nary a day goes by that I don't check out the wonderful photography here. Y'all do amazing work. Alisande...I believe your "visitor" leaving the tracks is a rabbit. They leave pretty strange tracks in the snow...especially if they're just meandering along at a slow pace. I've been tracking a few of my own local brown rabbits and can always substantiate my suspicions when I follow their tracks to under a large shrub or into the under brush of the nearby woods...where they safely hide away from predators. Keep your eyes posted. You may see the visitor one day soon. They venture out in the day light hours looking for food and as long as they aren't threatened...they can be pretty brazen. Anne
