I'll be leaving for the cabin/river in about 2 hours. We'll stay until Monday sometime. My younger sister is coming up Saturday and spending the night (with mom). She doesn't come up very often, as she has her home on a lake and has all the nature/quiet right there.

Landscapers here today to trim trees for the winter.
Tomorrow and Sunday...nothing scheduled.
Monday...big (about 20-30 people) annual family labor day picnic at the lake. Good food, chat, and fishing.

Friday - concert in Pittsburgh
Saturday - Pitt football game
Sunday - Pirates baseball game

Monday - back home and relaxing... wine will be involved!

Two sons, their wives and children will be joining my daughter and me for a picnic on Sunday.

Not much. Plan on baking bread, will get the grass mowed and some weeding done. Also need to get my going back to work wardrobe organized. No more shorts and flip flops for awhile.

Our county fair is traditionally held Labor Day weekend. Sooo, I will be shuttling the grandson to and from the carnival rides, the exhibit building and the rodeo grounds. Talked to the lady who took his entry in the fair exhibits and she told me he took Reserve this year. Last year he got the Judge's Choice and was thrilled. This year he gets the second highest prize and I'm sure he won't quit talking about that for a year LOL. He peeked in the window yesterday but the ribbon is on the other side of the model, so it will be a surprise today when he sees it! Don't know how my cookies did, hope for a repeat performance of last year, Sweepstakes. Defending my title and all that. Otherwise, just the same ole, same ole.

A BBQ on Saturday and another one on Sunday. Maybe spend some time with my DD Monday before she heads back to school.

We're headed to Kingston, Ontario, to visit friends who just moved there. They plan on taking us sight-seeing, so I know we'll have a good time.

We live on an Island,and so many tourists come here on holdiays! I think with the new "staycations" it'll be worse than ever, the city beach park is already jammed.
So, we'll go the reverse way! We're heading south to Oregon to my son and his wife's home (near the coast.) We'll take the Pt. Townsend ferry and drive down along Hood Canal, missing the Seattle freeway traffic.

Even though they're near the coast, they don't get the crowds like here. We might go to Depoe Bay for a day, but other than that we'll just BBQ and visit.

Our family reunion is tomorrow. We plan on going and spending a fun day with family, those we see all the time and those we only see on this day. If we aren't too tired, we are going out dancing saturday night (I need a drink). Sunday is the big University of Kentucky and University of Louisville (this is where my daughter is currently enrolled) football game. Go Cards!!!. This is a big rivalry, a friend of ours is having a cookout/Texas hold 'em/watch the ball game/ all day event at his house-it is a great time. There will be lots of people there rooting for both teams, so it should be a lot of fun. Monday morning is our town's annual Labor Day Parade-our county fair has been going on this week, it ends Sunday with a horse show, and then monday the icing on the cake is the parade. After the parade we all gather at my house for burgers and dogs on the grill. I'm tired and happy just thinking about all the fun stuff planned for the weekend. Maybe next weekend we can have a nice quite time.

We are heading to the house at the lake this weekend. My brother and his girlfriend are coming up too. It should be a nice weekend, but hot, and Grant can finally go in the water now that his toe is almost healed so he'll have alot more fun up there too!

I forgot to mention, we will we eat mass quanities of food, we will be pertaking of alcoholic beverages, and laughing until our sides hurt. I may not survive. I think these are the three things my doctor has warned me about. Wish me luck. LOL

still carless, so not much. was going with dh to play fantasy foodball, but they changed the location, so decided to stay home...

think we'll do shopping today...(and dinner out) knowing dh, he'll want to putz round the house (boooring!) but might as well get the outside stuff in...we got out the table and chairs and never used them!

it's supposed to get warmer (high 80's, yuck)so inside or shade will be just fine!

My youngest DS is moving out this weekend. He has rented a house about 30 miles away. So I will probably help him on this end.

We are going to oldest DS's house on Monday for skeet shooting and target shooting, food and fun.

Pool party Saturday, they have lots of food, games and pool activities. Lasts most of the day.

Sunday, church and then off to another pool party.

Monday, as of right now nothing.

We have perfect weather for this weekend, low 80's and sunny. I should have a nice tan by the end of the weekend.
