Rowdy surgery update

Just talked to DS and Rowdy's surgery to re sect his bowel is scheduled for sometime Monday.Don't know the time yet.Keep him in your prayers.Thanks..Lillie

Thanks everyone! Dirty_fingernails-I remember little Xiola! I also remember you posted recent pictures of her a while ago.It's amazing the progress these tiny ones can make. Lindsey-They have not taken Jillian in to see rowdy yet.DDIL is adamant about not taking her into the hospital.She is a PICU nurse and says she knows what kind of germs and stuff float around in there,and after hearing about the outbreak of chickenpox in the hospital where she works in Albuquerque she is even more determined.LOL I really don't know if they would allow her into the NICU anyway.At least not in the area where he is at this time. Everyone just say a special prayer for Rowdy's bowel to shrink back to it's normal size in a hurry so they can put him back together.I know if that could be done,as well as he is doing otherwise,he could go home a lot sooner than 5-6 weeks. Thanks again everyone for all the prayers and positive thoughts.I KNOW it has helped.

Thank God! I know your family is so gateful that he passed this hurdle too & am praying it is his the LAST one. What a tough lil' guy he is! Seeing your tiny Grandbaby go through all this added to the heartache of knowing what it's like for your own kids has to be gut wrenching. Bless each of you! Suzi

It's good to hear from you, Glenda, though I know it must be tough. I'm very glad to know you have lots of help and a caring a thoughtful family! My sister had a graft taken from her thigh to help cover a shattered tibia, and that thing HURT. I sure do feel for you but you're on your way to healing. Was there another picture, other than the recliner?

Sorry for the complications. Medicine can do so much, and usually with great success, but we forget that nothing this serious is ever 'simple', and 'once and done' may be uncommon. Hang in there, all who are waiting and hoping. The good result may be a little slow in coming, but it will arrive!

YIPPEEE- So good to hear that he will soon be reconnected. The surgery should go really smoothly.....he will sleep through it, it is all his relatives that will be stressed. Give him a great big hug for me.
