Yes, I did use the bent spoon. I used the GEII and stacked them together, then let them cure for 24 hours before flipping them and adding the spoon to the back with the E6000. I let that cure for another 24 hours before placing them in the garden. Mine were heavy as well, but as long as you make sure to press each piece to make good contact and let them cure long enough, they should be fine. I have really enjoyed mine, it added a lot to my back yard! Good luck, and be sure to post pics so we can all drool :)

Jeff, I posted on your thread about my pitifulness a couple of days ago, but it got hung up and never appeared -- and, apparently, that is as it should be. The intervening posts have moved in a better direction away from pitiful. (Except for poor floridarosez9.) As is my nature this time of year, I have been digging up roses lately, but I still don't have enough spots for the roses that need homes. So naturally, I bought more, but it was perfectly reasonable, I thought, because I was buying from my favorite nearby nursery before it changes hands. There were very few available so I basically bought any rose that was remotely capable of surviving in my garden. Alexander Hill Gray (not a problem plus he's a yellow Maman Cochet. Yippee!) and Napoleon (hopefully, these two will find places in the ground). Rose de Rescht (I've seen it growing here) and Marchesa Bocella - both will have to survive/thrive in pots. I have learned not to deceive my DH (I always get caught anyway), so I just sucked in a breathe and casually mentioned my purchase because maybe prices will go up plus I had them shipped which was cheaper than gasoline. I think it was the next day that I mentioned I was running out to dig up two roses before it got dark. Probably poor DH is very confused at this point. Sherry

We always want weather that is different from the weather we're having, don't we? On a 100 degree day in July, we're thinking longingly of October days with a high of 70 degrees. On 10 degree days in December, we're longing for a 60 degree day in March. After the umpteenth consecutive day of rain and clouds and the threat of hail, flash flooding, and tornadoes in May, we're thinking about a lovely, dry, sunny Fourth of July. Why can't we just learn to love the weather we have at the time? I suppose that's just human nature. I know we'll be miserably cold (and for some of you in northern OK, dangerously cold in terms of wind chill) for the next couple of days, but at least we won't be buried under a blizzard of snow. We sure could use some rain, and if the weather does what it always seems to do, the rain will arrive just in time to make it too wet at the proper spring planting time.

Thanks for the compliment Willie. Honestly, I'm not quite sure what's what... I've been trying to ID them. In trades last fall I got the following: Grandpa Otts, Kniola's Black Magenta Star of Yelta Lt. Blue Dk. Purple w/ pink star Crimson Rambler Mt. Fuji Then I guess there were some other ones thrown in there like the ruffled pink ones. I don't know if they are maybe called Sunrise Serenade or Split Personality. Still trying to figure those out because I didn't specifically receive those in trade. I love them all anyway. I also read that MG's will cross pollinate so I should have some interested color combos next year!
