Anyone else see Mama Mia this weekend?

A friend and I saw it this afternoon. What a fantastic movie! The theater was crowded and the audience was so happy. Lots of laughing, especially near the end of the movie. Right after the movie was over I went across the street to Best Buy and bought the soundtrack.

I came home and immediately downloaded from itunes. Have had it on for two days straight. Such a fun movie, lots of heart, lots of energy.

I got the soundtrack from the movie and from the stage version too, I liked it so much and play them both.

i came across a small garden store selling them. The flowers looked great... nice two tone... but many only had the single stem coming out of the grown with the all the branches come from that single stem. These types don't make it through the winter here. I did see a few with okay basal branching.. so i might try and get one on sale in the fall.

jannie, I've been having trouble reading some of the billboards, licence plates, etc. ... I love to see the stuff that people put on those vanity plates. The optometrist tells me that I have cataracts, so am due for surgery in a couple of weeks. They assure me that I'll be able to "see things more clearly" then. Which I assume to be a commentary on my eyesight, rather than my good judgement. "We'll see" ... as the saying goes. Sorry that you're to be elsewhere, Pooh. Maybe we can meet again sometime: I enjoyed the last one. Good wishes for the coming days - may they bring the fufillment of some of your dreams ... and some hatching of new ones (worthwhile ones, of course). ole joyful

Great pictures, Linda! I love those mini petunias. I worked outside Friday and Saturday, and then created more work for myself by bringing home a new rose on Saturday. Someone had recommended the Buck rose Prairie Sunrise to me, and I had it on my list (my never-ending rose wish list) for next year. But then I ran across it at a local nursery, and that was that. I'm having trouble finding a spot for it because I hit solid rock in two places I tried to dig. Yesterday I got up at 4:00 a.m. to accompany my son to a hamfest (ham radio flea market). We got there at 6:00 a.m., and by 11:00 a.m. it felt like bedtime. I slept for nine hours last night! We had a good time, though. We're going to another one next Sunday. One thing I did this weekend was to replant my pot on the porch. I'm a little concerned because the first planting (New Guinea impatiens) was a definite failure to thrive. I think the soil isn't draining well enough, but I didn't realize that until after I'd planted for the second time. I'll withhold water for a while and see what happens. In the pot are Persian Shield, a blue salvia, and a sweet potato vine.

Yeah the 2011 "Snowtober" was incredible. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Halloween_nor%27easter There was a light dusting here but only 20 miles north as the crow flies the higher elevations of Lancaster Co. had up to 10 inches. Some neighborhoods in Connecticut were w/o power for 11 days, there were so many downed trees. I'm beginning to be glad I didn't plant anything tenderish like Camellias this year. I thought "three cold winters in a row would be almost unprecedented, but that's what they said about 2011, 2011, and 2012 being extremely hot summers in a row." It really feels like a repeat of 2014, already, which also started with a cold autumn. Of course with a huge El Nino this year, were are supposed to have an average winter in temps...but the Siberian snow forecast guy is saying "cold winter, but not as cold as the last two." I was going this past weekend but didn't make it. Will catch a matinee mid week. Our local radio station said today, to MAKE SURE you stay to watch the credits at the end!!! Said it's worth staying for!

Believe it or not HUBBY wants to go see it. Not something I would go see but I guess I am going. He's a Swede and VERY opinionated. As far as he is concerned EVERYTHING that is Swedish (ABBA) is the best! LOL Sure I liked their music when they were popular but decades later he's still playing their "best of" CD ....... Most of the songs sound like desperate women to me!

Sharon, I wonder if I stayed long enough? I saw "something" totally hilarous after the end of the movie but wondered if there was something after all the credits. I'm taking Lauren and now her friend on Thursday, we'll have to stay longer...

Me and my DD loved the movie! I don't often want soundtracks or the dvd version of movies... but this one I do! Really fun! Can't wait to see it again.

I saw it Tuesday night and loved it. I was a bit concerned because sometimes they don't do plays well on screen but I felt like I was watching live theatre at times. Great cast,great sound track and great fun.

At the end of the movie there is more to come but once the credits start rolling on the dark screen it is over. I stayed for the soundtrack anyway.
