Linda had the Cajun Baked Seafood Medley... Mixture of fish, shrimp, crawfish and crab topped with Parmesan cheese, and served in a casserole dish wwith a side of fried green tomatoes. She said it was delicious and her plate was CLEANED!
I chose Louisiana crawfish po boy with a side of gumbo ya ya.

Told waitress I wouldn't eat the bread or the fixings, so she had the fixings on a side dish and a plate FULL of fried crawfish tails and remoulade for dipping. I cleaned my plate as well.

NY Strips on the grill, fresh corn on the cob, salad and something for dessert later!

We are going to DDIL amd DS's home for dinner this evening. Grilled hamburgers, baked beans and oven fried potatoes (out of the garden) with cookies and homemade ice cream for dessert are what's on the menu.

No fireworks this year, we have a burn ban and besides that we are on outdoor water restriction!

Trixie, have a fun evening with your kids. We've been under water restrictions for years. I don't care how much rain we get, they don't lift it. They did lift the burn ban for the holidays since we had rain 10 days in a row.

Lynn, nothing better than steak on the grill, but your "something for dessert later" made me LOL. Bet it made your DH happy to hear it though!!

I would much rather have had lunch with Glenda and Linda today than cook. I love the menu of that restaurant, but I wanted everything :-) Besides that, the company would've been a lot of fun.

I love broccoli slaw! I never think of buying it though and when I eat it at someone's house, I just love it.

I made a huge as always, Greek salad. I always cook pasta to go in it. I love it that way. Put some olive oil, garlic powder and herbs on a pita bread and toasted it in the oven to go with. Hubby loved it. Bought a 1 kg pail of feta cheese that was on sale It was $8, but that was half-price. I don't always buy feta, so this was a treat.

Jasdip, don't buy the broccoli slaw. It was icky. Dry and rubbery cabbage.

I love Greek salads. When we lived in Dunedin we used to go to Tarpon Springs a lot. It is a Greek community steeped in Greek tradition. I loved going there. Lots of great restaurants but just fun to walk along the docks. But I digress, as usual. The Greek salad has potato salad hidden inside it. It's a no egg potato salad and is delicious.
