I just posted this for Anne's sister, and I'll paste it here. My sister just finished radiation treatments for her 2nd round of breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy on both of them. Followed by chemo on the first one, (16 yrs ago). The 2nd one was caught very early, and is called breast calcification. It's like little flecks/freckles of it in an area. They did the lumpectomy on it, but the Dr. didn't get the clear margins he wanted, so she had to go back right after Christmas and have more taken out until he was satisfied with the margins. Also, my daughter chose the mastectomy about 4 years ago, along with the reconstruction at the same time. Hers was breast calcification, and caught very early. Leslie

Well,I just talked to DS .DDIL was at work when he was talking to my DH earlier.She is a nurse.She wasn't feeling well so she went to the ER,they checked her over and her blood pressure was high.She told them that she was worried about the baby and why,and they did another ultrasound.Everything was fine! What the other one was showing was baby girl Jillian's foot! Now how in the world could they think that had anything to do with loss of amniotic fluid? The two technicians that did the first ultrasound were very unprofessional in the first place.After they spotted the "problem" they started whispering to one another and wouldn't tell DS and DIL what was going on,just that they needed to go to her regular OB on Tuesday.I understand that they were not qualified to make a diagnosis but they shouldn't have been whispering and acting suspicious.Anyway,she is on her way home now and feeling much better and I thank you gwanny23 and anyone else who said a prayer.

Awwww! Thanks all! I just got back from Baltimore. When I was driving over yesterday afternoon, I would have rather had a GYN appointment than go to the meeting! LOL But it turned out very good. First thing we had to do was a "problem solving inventory/survey". I started laughing at some of the questions and had to explain to everyone (only 6 of us int he room) that I was a month into comps remediation and my problem solving skills "went out the window" about a week ago. Most of the ladies had a PhD and shared what they went through. The training was about a program to help people problem solve their barriers to healthy eating and physical activity. Was quite interesting but my brain turned off around 2:30 so I missed the last hour and a half- will have to read up on it again next week,lol. Stoney, I wish I could send it to you. Most of my "freak out" Monday/Tuesday was because I found out being able to "use any resource" did not include letting a human read over what I had written. Created some panic and additional frustration. My advisor was fine and told me not to worry but I was so close to the fragile mind stage that I "tipped right on over". I seem to be running one good "freak out" every two years or so and I hope this one will hold me for a while. I am off to work on those rewrite for a few hours before bed and will keep everyone posted. Janie, who is printing all the support to keep reading over the weekend!
