What's for dinner Thursday?

We're having spaghetti and meatballs tonight with Texas toast and a spinach salad. I'd made the meatballs earlier and had them in the freezer, so it's an easy night.

What have you been doing today--and what are you having for dinner?

Have you ever bought New York Texas 5 cheese toast from WalMart! Love love love it. You put it in the oven frozen and bake 5 minutes.

Busy afternoon shopping for an engagement gift and a gift for my friend's husband who is turning 90. Found both, yea!

Pool closed today and tomorrow due to huge storm that ended up with a muddied pool.

Ohh, almost forgot: Paw Paw Patch for chicken fried steak, fried green tomatoes, and baby green limas.

Ate by myself, first time this week~

Guess what it is doing in TN raining again.
Patti, it is good you went through TN when you did because from Thu thru Sun it poured buckets & buckets, everything was flooded.
Tonight we had blt's because of the picture Glenda showed last week. Should say I had bacon & toast.

wow, chicken livers... haven't had them in a LONG time. Sauteed chicken livers used to be a comfort food for me! Most people I know now would rather starve than be forced to eat a chicken liver. I can't imagine a restaurant selling them. lol! Great. Now I'm craving either chicken liver, beef liver, or liverwurst. ;p Good thing I have a chocolate cake in the oven! :)

Old Fixer, I find that the weeds are terrible to pull when the soil is bone dry. I usually leave the root in the soil. :( Fun, I smiled when I read what your dinner was. Did you pop it on the stove, or microwave? We had chili from the freezer. I like mine over rice with a dollop of yogurt to tame the heat.

Well, I woke up this morning and hubby had 2 pounds of ground beef and 1 pound of sausage thawing in the refrigerator. Cans of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and tomato paste were on the kitchen counter next to the stove. I took a guess that was a pretty good hint that he was ready for another big pot of spaghetti sauce. We had a huge shrimp salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread.

Jasdip, we put a big pork butt on the grill over the weekend and enjoyed it with a pile of slaw. It's a full day commitment but seemed like a good Labor Day weekend project. Last night, I made a garlicky, gingery chicken stir fry with lots of fresh vegetables, served with brown rice and toasted almonds. I don't know why I don't make something like that more often, it's a favorite.

DH is due home from his business trip tonight, but not until around 10pm, so he's eating dinner on the road. I had a salad with rotisserie chicken & cilantro dressing.

Hubby is golfing so I fixed myself a BLA, bacon, lettuce and avocado. We don't have good tomatoes yet. We had a beautiful, sunny day today. We just survived almost two weeks of cloudy, rainy and very humid weather. Today felt like we had been released from a weather prison.

Since last night was 'prom' night, tonight we are headed for the Sizzler. We usualy just have their wonderful salad bar...sometimes DH splurges tho. *prom....previously requested ? meals, according to DS who has been cooking lately.

Those are some yummy sounding dinners! I'd be hard to choose just one of those meals from a menu, but I am a sucker for spaghetti and cilantro dressing. ;)

It's leftover pizza night here. I had a job interview today, and the day was just a busy one.

I was hungry for a good, grillled burger with all the trimmings. I sauteed some onions and mushrooms in a little butter and a dash of soy sauce to put on top.

Robert brought a couple of beautiful canteloupes home and we had some for desert.

It started to storm here (again!) the second we pulled the burgers off the grill. Perfect timing.
