What's for dinner, Thursday nite?

Comfortable temperatures today, but predicting rain tonite. We got a lot on the weekend, but we can use more again.

We grilled some chicken breasts on the little grill outside and I heated up some leftover scalloped potatoes and sauteed a bunch of shredded cabbage, onions and carrots.

Well, I woke up this morning and hubby had 2 pounds of ground beef and 1 pound of sausage thawing in the refrigerator. Cans of tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and tomato paste were on the kitchen counter next to the stove. I took a guess that was a pretty good hint that he was ready for another big pot of spaghetti sauce. We had a huge shrimp salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread.

thurs is pasta nite but I found a quickie in a sack from Costco...chicken, veggies, and pasta in garlic...not bad and easy....

Nikki's downtown is a southern style food cafeteria that I have been going to for years. The two servers know every time what I want, and I don't have to say a word. They just plate it up as I go down the line :o) Fried snapper fingers, hominy, spinach! Sooooooo good. Only place in town that serves hominy.

Sorry I didn't get back here last night to read all your good meals. Food + tummy = ick yesterday. Went to bed around 8 and slept until almost 7 this morning. I knew I was feeling better when I started to think about tonight's dinner and my weekly grocery list. I'm beginning to think it's something I'm allergic to and I suspect it's fresh tomatoes. I sure hope not, since I love them! But I had this same thing a month or so ago. Wasn't food poisoning because Harry didn't have it.

This won't be the healthiest dinner posted, but I've had about 30 interruptions today and I don't even have sheets back on the bed from this mornings laundry yet. Just sat down to do DH's invoicing, I'm having two Tylenol and a glass of iced tea. Asked DH, would you like bacon, toast and eggs, or do you want to grill hamburgers for us, and he said bacon and eggs ;)
