I've had the bedroom window ac unit on at night for a week now. Rain came, today, and nights will be in the 50's for a while.

Nikki's Downtown for my usual, but wah wah wah, they didn't have all of my usual.

Always have fried snapper fingers, spinach, hominy, but NOT hominy today, they ran out, so had baby green limas.

Tomorrow I'm gonna spend the day with gs, and he asked where we were going to eat, and I asked what he wanted and all he said was FOOD.

That's a 15 year old for ya.

Your dinner sounds much better with the baby limas, Glenda. Definitely not a fan of hominy! Have fun with GS tomorrow. Better stop by the nearest ATM, those young GS's can eat you out of house and home. It's amazing how much my DGS Alex can eat and still stay so thin! He just turned 16.

Something new, I bought some really good looking beef ribs cut into about 5" sections very meaty, so I put them into the slow cooker with chopped onions and bbq sauce with a little yellow mustard to add some twang. They are smelling great. Will steam some broccoli to go with it, and sliced tomatoes.

I had the other stuffed pepper I'd thawed out yesterday. Needed to get in another vegetable today so nuked a sweet potato.

We had hot dogs grilled outside and cucumber salad. I live in northern NY- amazing temps of 80+ for days.

Finished up the ditalini pasta shrimp salad with toasted multi grain bread and some carrot sticks. Oh so good.

Hot but storm is brewing looking at all the clouds. We had egg, rice, cheese and cabbage over rice.

Ravencajun, I have some beef ribs in the freezer--think I'll copycat your recipe. Not so crazy about beef ribs but they were on sale at some point.

Gadgets, you put me to shame because you always seem to eat so healthy. Need to take some lessons from you!!

Pam, nothing tastes better than a well-done (as in blackened) hot dog from the grill. Love cucumber salad too. I make mine in a creamy sauce with dill, but like the vinegar onion cucumber salad, too. How do you make yours?

Georgysmom, I'll sure be glad when you're home--miss you so much here!! I read in your other post about being tired of eating out and understand that feeling. Although I could use about a week of it right now. This hot weather makes me lose my appetite. Not that THAT would be a bad thing since I have 15 pounds to lose.

temp was 61 here today here in SD. We had leftover Prime Rib with a salad and toast for supper. It was really good. I brought it home from work.

I agree with you I normally only buy pork ribs but they were on sale and looked really good, I will let you know how they turn out.
