I doubt that Jon had anything to say about having kids - his soon-to-be ex would have been an 'ex' a LOOOOONG time ago, if I were him - she is a ragging nag. You would expect she would have the class to 'behave' on the reality mockery, but she couldn't do that - very sad for Jon and the kids.

I agree - he should not be dating anyone, period, but hey - she's out dating. It doesn't make it right, it's true, but he's still, mentally, just a teenager - he's a piss poor excuse for a parent, but so is Kate.

You DO have a right to be distressed and upset - soon, your tax dollars will be used to sort out this whole mess. I think they are BOTH asses and should be punished for exploiting their children as they have been and will continue to do.

She needs to get a new job as a prison warden and he needs to be put in a children's nursery so he can play with other children of his mental age!

He seems to have done a complete turn around in his appearance - dressing rather sloppily, smoking, both ears pierced. He looks like he's packed on a few pounds too. He never really looks happy to me even though he is supposed to be now that he has left Kate. I'm kind of hoping he is just sowing his oats and will come around and maybe get counseling with Kate so they can try to fix their marriage if not for themselves then for the kids. I think they should at least try. Of course, Kate may not want to since he seems to have wasted no time getting a girlfriend (or two).

Kayjones who is Kate dating? I hadn't heard that - except for the body guard thing and I doubt that was even true.

Jon is just a big kid that has obtained his freedom.

If I were Jon...I would have filed for a divorce long before now. Kate is just what she has been called: a nagging rag. Everything has to be her way. It has been like that for a very long time. Jon put up with being a cash cow...along with his children...for a long time, before he finally said, on the show, that he didn't want the fame, the invasion of privacy, the paparrazzi. Kate on the other hand...thrives on the attention and mostly the money. She doesn't care how she looks to other people. Her kids BETTER make her look good...or she rips them. Jon BETTER make her look good too...or there is hell to pay. She would have slapped me ONE time and that would have been it. She would have degraded me ONE time and that would have been it. She would have yelled at me ONE time and that would have been it. He took a lot of carp from her...and she continued to do it. She is in it for the money. Once Jon said he was over all of that...she didn't like it. He stood up to her and she was beside herself. What? Balk at what I say? How dare you. It wouldn't have mattered what he did...she would have found fault. Yes...I feel bad for the kids. But I would feel more bad if their parents stayed together for "the kids". That doesn't solve anything. Don't get me wrong...I know it takes two to tango, but it seems to me that she likes to lead the dance...and you'd best follow. Her biggest worry? It isn't that she is losing a husband...she could quite possibly be losing that huge $$$ per episode. Hope they invested well...or saved a lot of money. I am sure she spent a lot of it. Oh wait...she got a lot of stuff free.

Those kids will be fine if their parents divorce. Heck...my mom divorced twice...married a man that abused us...and I turned out just fine. Well...I probably do have a few idiosyncrasies. Maybe. LOL But I survived. Kids survive. Mine survived my divorce. I married again...to a man 10 years my junior. And my kids love him.

I stand by my stating that Jon is the 9th child.
In a household of 8 small children so close in age if someone isn't in charge then there is chaos. Jon wasn't stepping up to the plate so Kate had to for both. Granted she got under my skin at times but I hate to think what I would sound like in her situation.

I still feel bad for the kids to be in a situation that is none of their doing and living under a microscope

I agree: Kate is a shrewish female dog. The way she treats her children is disgraceful. At least Jon can leave...the kids cannot. They are stuck with being Kate's cash cow. Poor little things.

That said, Jon is a jerk. A selfish, immature jerk. He is just as bad as Kate in the selfish 'it's all about me' department.

I cannot blame him for leaving the marriage.
But he should have waited for the divorce to be final before he starting dating. Call me old fashioned, but that's how it should be. He is an adulterer and his girlfriend an adulteress. He is as harmful to his children as Kate is.

Reality tv lets you see what they want you to see. It had also been said, that Jon and Kate, haven't been together for 2 YEARS. So how long does, a person have to wait, until its ok with US to see someone??? Kate has not been perfect, at the end of last season, she and jon sat on the chair, and she she said there would be a new season. Jon, didn't want there to be another season. She is willingly exploiting the kids, and making money off of them. Is that OK? Does that make her a good mommy? and whats sad, is the one twin is just like Kate.
As far as what you said about Jon's beer gut, what about Kate's belly, before her plastic surgery on her gut? Preg. tummy's with one baby, can sometimes not look to good afterwards. Kate showed her stomach before the plastic surgery, wasn't to nice lookin either. The point is, most all of us don't have a perfect body, nor a 6 pak stomach.

None of us REALLY know any facts about this family. We only know what we've been shown on TV (ratings) and in tabloids and magazines (sales). I feel sorry for the kids, but it seems to me the best thing we can do for them is to quit talking abut the family. Just my thoughts.

Jon agreed to have the second set of babies... they didn't move forward on that until he agreed. I don't even watch much of the show, but I did see an interview where he said that. Also, it turned out to be NOT true about Kate being involved with the body guard- or anyone else. Jon can't complain about the fame and publicity, because he sure enjoys spending the money on expensive cars and girlfriends and such. There is no possible way that lazy man would have ever earned that money on his own.

I do think that as Kate has taken so much flak for her "behaviour" that Jon should take his share as well. I think he's acting like a frat boy.

Say what you will about Jon's behavior but she treated him like a dog in front of the camera and didn't care about what anyone thought or whether it hurt/humiliated him or how it made him feel....so can you even imagine what or how she treated him when the cameras are not rolling.

If I was followed around by a camera all day and editors cut and picked what was most interesting... I'd probably look pretty b*tchy and mean too. I admit to 'ordering' my DH around a bit (sorry, but most guys just don't seem to look around and see what needs to be done... excluding the men that post here of course :-).

Yes, Jon is immature. He married young and feels he missed out on something. I've seen it a million times... once upon a time I was even married to a similar one.

I think those kids will be just fine. They ARE loved by both parents. Plenty of kids come from divorced families (about half of all kids actually). And yes, these kids are in the limelight and they will be most likely until they reach adulthood. Money from the show will get them a good education and a decent start in lives of their own. Life could be worse.

Everybody is worried about what being on the show and the divorce will do to these kids... what about when they get on a computer and read all the terrible things that are being said on message boards about their parents??

I think both parents are to blame but I think Kate is a royal b!tch. Jon is regaining his youth. Kate wanted a tummy tuck. Guess she wishes now she hadn't. Be careful what you wish for. They were much happier in their little split level two houses ago. The new season should be interesting. My neighbor saw Kate at the Hershey outlets a week or two ago.

I think Jon's true colors are showing. All this talk about how KATE wants the money, fame, etc and who is out there spending money likes it's going out of style and parading themselves in front of the paparazzi? JON!

I would have been a raging b!tch too if I had to deal with him. She isn't much older than him but no one blames youth for her mistakes - the biggest one being choosing Jon to be the father of her children. She's certainly not the first woman to make the mistake of having children with a man who turned out to be an unsuitable mate. She isn't the first woman who tried way too hard to make her husband into something he wasn't with disastrous results.

Some people are really good at making others react. There are some people able to look like the 'good guy' when in reality, they are pulling the strings that make the other person look like a shrew. Often when you see a nagging spouse, the other spouse is usually not pulling their weight in the relationship. I do have some sympathy for Kate. I suspect she got got overwhelmed with having to take care of everything and that has brought out her bad side. I probably wouldn't be very pleasant in her position either.

She must have belittled him publicly one time too many. He took it far longer than most men would have.

So what if anyone he dates is younger than he is. I doubt if he wants someone older who would likely already have children, but who knows.

The funny thing is, this girl looks like an even bigger bully than Kate. He just handed his, um, manhood, over to the next woman.

I really, really liked this show when it first came on and felt so sorry for Jon...It seemed he really did a lot...Getting breakfast for the kids, doing all the bathing and story reading at night and even bringing Kate her morning coffee while still in bed....I didn't like the way she talked to and about him and wondered why he just didn't stand up for himself....
I've lost a lot of respect for Jon....He can't be much of a role model acting and doing what he's doing....He's sure not helping to take care of the kids while he's playing with the girlfriend....And if, a BIG IF, the engagement ring is true, maybe he should be saving that money for child support! He just makes me cringe!

There has been some discussion about Jon's changed appearance, well Kate's appearance has changed too, thanks to the free tummy tuck, breast job and face lift.
