You can get around thaat by changing the subject a bit, like adding "2" or something to the post so it isn't a duplicate. This is the only forum I've noticed this on...

Sorry, I don't think there's any way to delete it except to ask the site administrators, but that's more trouble than it's worth. If you try to respond on a thread where you posted shortly before, it will reject your message. All you have to do is use the back arrow and change the subject heading in your message to something like "Reply" or "Requested Recipe" or whatever and then it'll accept it. OK, if you're canning your mixed veggies, I'm assuming you packed the clean, hot jars with the veggies, brought the brine mixture to a boil and poured it over the contents of the jars, leaving 1/2" headspace. Mixed veggies like this, which can be quite dense, should be processed 20 minutes for pints (as per instructions from "Joy of Pickling"). Did the instructions say 5 minutes because that's really short for this kind of product. If you canned the veggies within the last 24 hours, I'd recommend either refrigerating or open the jars, empty contents, clean jars, new lids, re-pack, bring brine back to a boil and re-process the longer time. The veggies may soften, but you don't have safety worries. Obviously, refrigerating is simpler, if you have the room. Someone else may have a different suggestion, but that's my take on it.

I always just add some spaces somewhere in the subject and it works. Like babka said, if you do mess up and get rejected, hitting the 'back' arrow will take you back to your text. What Ken said about copy and paste is also an excellent idea. babka, the reason you can do one followup without being rejected is that GW puts the text RE: in front of the original topic. So.... if you post a message and the topic is: My Hostas Then you post one response to it, the topic on that response is: RE: My Hostas It's a real pain. I can't tell you HOW many times I've done (and I'm sure will continue) to get that darned rejection message and then have to go back and fix it!

I was very good at spelling when I was younger, others would ask me how to spell words, but alas, I am 71 and am losing my spelling ability. Sometimes the spell checker can't even find a close match. LOL
