We're having cheese stuffed hot dogs with pasta salad & fruit salad.

kittiemon, love a cheese stuffed hot dog wrapped in bacon and cooked. We'd then put it on a slice of bread, spread ketchup and fold that bread slice over the hot dog.

Leaving soon for our Fourth of July meal. Crock pot barbecued ribs, fried chicken, green beans, cheesy potato skins, baked beans, corn on the cob, coleslaw, cucumber salad, relish plate, strawberries, white cake, raspberry pie, watermelon, Hawaiian rolls, lemonade and iced tea. It is very overcast right now.

Last night I made potato salad and shredded the cabbages and carrots for slaw. Glad I looked at my watch, it's time to add the dressing. We're having grilled steak and asparagus to go along with the salads and of course, watermelon.

Here in mid-TN it has been raining on & off all week but since last night it has been pouring & they say it will be like this till tomorrow. Weatherman said we will get at least 6"
For dinner it was leftover lasagna.
Glenda, I am making banana pudding tomorrow with banana's & vanilla wafers. If you want I will send you some.

I had my picnic/barbecue yesterday. I had spaghetti and homemade sauce for my meal tonight. I only make my own a time or two a year. I make a lot and freeze leftovers in one serving size pkgs. Use those for over spaghetti, or noodles, or even brown rice. Sometimes I put it over a hotdog.

There were T-bone and rib steaks in a cooker marked down by $3. The reason is that the bone was tearing the plastic. So we picked up a couple, and had them tonite with a Greek-type salad using orzo, peppers, tomatoes, etc.

It was a great dinner, all the better because our steaks worked out to be about $2.50 each.

Just took a catnap, yawn!

grilled steak is my meal of choice, georgysmom, but our decks are wooden, and no grills, anywhere, is the rule.

gadgets, saw a recipe, today for coney island hot dog sauce. I love spaghetti with meat sauce served over toasted bread spread with mayo. At home, alone :o)

We picked up some porterhouse steaks on sale today, he is grilling them and I made a salad of fresh tomatoes cucumbers and sweet onion and I have half a watermelon for dessert.

Fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob and cantaloupe from the garden. That vine produced only two cantaloupes and by my calculations they cost about $29.00 each!! (water bill)

Country style boneless ribs on the grill. salad, corn on the cob,tater tots (lol-never made them before!) applesauce, and red, white, and blue layered drinks.

LOL mamtoad. Every year DH plants tomatoes. Of course, he sticks them in the ground and figures God should do the rest. By the time the tomatoes ripen, around October, I've bought most of them at the farm stands!

Glenda, sorry about the banana pudding. Sounds awful to me.

Wow, expensive cantaloupe, but fried chicken is a must for July 4th celebration, mamatoad! Yes!!!!

We went to fireworks and street party, pony rides, bounce houses, etc., stopped in to Taco Cabana for a snack, nachos, sat on the patio there and watched the fireworks under a fan! Perfect!

We had chicken and dumplings, fried okra, sweet potato fries, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, sliced tomatoes, and lemon whip for dessert.

Your 4th of July eats sounds delicious!
