Okay, since you asked ;o) It doesn't matter to me personally what anyone does, but what does matter is the sanctity of marriage and the responsibility that those who enter into it should have. One word. Respect. If you can't have respect for marriage then don't get married. Okay, so someone has respect for marriage and gets married and then finds out that their mate is not who they thought he or she was. Now it's time to make a very important decision and that is whether to stay or go. If they choose to go, in order to give marriage the props it deserves there should still be no "dating" or sexual dalliances until they are no longer legally married. I'm having a hard time understanding what's so darn difficult about that very sound concept. When a person is still married while choosing to carry on an affair ( and maybe that partner is a no good so-and-so), that doesn't make it the right thing to do. Whatever the circumstances are, whether that person has wronged, it really doesn't matter (here's that "matter" again)because the person who is cheating isn't holding the institution of marriage in high esteem. You can slice and dice it however you like, but "dating" while still legally married is cheating. The cheating isn't only happening to the person, but the cheating is also happening to the institution. And Dr. Browne is not only a "talk show psycholigist", but she has had her own practice, is involved in many charitable organizations, has written numerous books and papers, lectured, and is sought out by her peers in matters involving various situations where a well respected psychologist and family counselor is needed. "I think you are well aware that I chose a "sooner rather than later" path myself." I really had no idea that you did. Maybe I can surmise, but I certainly wouldn't query you about it (or anyone else for that matter). I (personally) wouldn't advertise that was the path I'd chosen. That's just me.

Lucinda, you have misunderstood what Nicki is saying. The doctor said that there were "pre-cancerous" cells there and they needed removed. So she had the procedure done and the cells were removed. Once they were removed, the doctor discovered that the cells had already turned into full blown cancer. I am so so sorry that you have had to go through this. :( PLEASE make sure that you keep up on your follow up checks. I know its easy to cancel them and wait a bit too long to reschedule, after all, its surely not the funnest thing in the world to do. Seeing this post ripped my heart out. Yesican, Some people eat to live and some live to eat. She lives to eat so taking that into consideration she's fairly happy with her meals. She actually eats about twice as much as me and really too much for her age and activity level. I need to cut her portions down a wee bit. Her favorite breakfast is cornflakes with a half a banana but sometimes she has a poached egg with grits and bacon bits and buttered toast or oatmeal with fruit. A typical lunch or supper is a meat, potato and a vegetable and usually no bread. Our meats are usually pork chops, chicken, steak, ham or something made from hamburger meat. I don't do a lot of processed meats. Some snacks she can't eat because she can't wear her bottom denture and can't chew real hard stuff. This is a sample of her snacks; 2 cookies, half a cup fruit, a small orange, a microwaved apple with cinnamon and splenda, a 2" square of cake with icing or a 1" wedge of layer cake, a 2" wedge of pie, 3 peanut butter crackers, the fruity lite yogurt (there's so many flavors),sugar free jello with cool whip, a small scoop of ice cream. I buy very little sugar free foods because that usually only means there's no added sugar but there's still sugar and lots of carbs in them. I pay more attention to carbs than sugar because your body doesn't use all the sugar but it uses ALL the carbs. To give you an example; a small scoop of sugar free ice cream has about 19 grams of carbs and 4 grams of sugar. I don't have any at the moment to check the regular but I remember the sugar free. If you compare labels of sugar free and regular foods you'll see what I mean. Add the carbs and sugar for each one and compare. Don't forget to look for sugar alcohol. There is one food I buy different and that's low carb bread. There's quite a difference there and if I make her a sandwich or toast I use it. If you have any more questions just ask. I don't use diabetic recipes but I do season a lot with spices such as garlic powder or onion instead of salt. I use very little salt because of her blood pressure and swelling.

i am not a breakfast person and never have been except on special occasions and that really leans towards brunch. Otherwise a cup of coffee before getting dressed and a big glass of ice water on my way to work. I usually have a bigger meal at out at lunch although I try to keep it heathy, and a lighter supper tonight just a chicken breast (sometimes a veggie/ fruit smoothie that always must include a banana). I do like eggs, so sometimes we will have breakfast for supper or I will have a couple of poached eggs and GF toast for supper (especially if DH has already eaten before I get home). I always have to have a bedtime snack (which is probably why I don't eat breakfast), usually a small yogurt, but sometimes gelato, a nutty energy bar' or a handful of trail mix. I've found for me a little something at bedtime (not too much or too heavy though) helps me sleep. Weight has never been much of an issue, but if it starts creeping a pound or two, I tend to try to go easy and cut back a bit until I'm back to optimum.
