Watch your back ladies !!!

This happened yesterday (telling on myself)

I went to the ladies room when we got to WM

I walked all thru the ladies dept and pharmacy

and animal etc and then a lady stopped me in one

of the aisles and whispered "Toiletseat cover" I said what?

She said the paper toilet seat cover was hanging out the back of my pants!!!

I said thanks and gave her a big hug.

Moc, It is very shady back there and a gold hosta might have a tough time. There is another bank further on that is separated by a small valley where I think some fast spreading lighter green hosta might brighten it up and form a background. Any suggestions for a low, fast growing hosta that might do the trick or even something other than a hosta that may work. It is a big area to cover. In the Fall I am going to divide up some Elegans and form a 'gateway' to the rock ravine. Out a little bit from the rocks so it doesn't squeeze the picture. Maybe even the variegated Vinca Minor that I have a lot of could work. Light so it doesn't disappear into the woods in the background, does well in the shade, grows like a weed, I like it and it would be free. I just picture a field of light green where the hosta end and the meadow would begin. Nice when the blue flowers bloom....I guess you see where I am gong with this one. Unbiddenn- I'm careful not to disturb anything around them. It is reassuring to see them every year. Somewhat rare, I guess. Jon

If you prune H. macrophylla's at this time of the year, you will be removing flower buds, since they bloom on last years growth(old wood). I would wait until new growth appears in the spring and then remove any dead canes or branches. If you want to shape them up, wait until they have finished blooming in the summer(assuming they do bloom) and then remove up to one-third of the canes. If they are overcrowded in the center, that would be a good place to start, to allow good air circulation, which helps to prevent powdery mildew. Rb

I went through this too, but will never let Katie go. She is more like a friend than a cleaning lady. My kids adore her. She was a doctor in Albania and came to this country and had to start over doing anything she could to make money, including waitressing, babysitting, and cleaning houses. Cleaning is where she found she could make the most money, but in the meantime she put herself through nursing school, while working fulltime cleaning houses. She graduated last spring and now has a full time nursing job but still comes to help me when she can. Some weeks she can't come at all and every week the day changes, but she always comes in the afternoon so that on that day my son can take his nap in his bed instead of in the car (since I have to pick my daughter up at 3 ). She loves to cook like me. She brings me recipes and I share mine with her. She lets my son follow her around the house and gives him little jobs to do. When my daughter is around she does the same for her ... she'll have my daughter pick up her stuffed animals, etc or bring laundry downstairs. I like this, because I too worry about the kids thinking they don't have to pick up after themselves. Anyway, post renovation, I researched different products and am using different things now, but it was just a one time short conversation about the new stuff we are using (most particularly, this Bonax wood flooring cleaning system). She knows that the new house is my baby and I did tell her that I would take care of certain aspects (like cleaning the Butcherblock counter). She'll move on eventually. She is still cleaning because she is saving up money for her wedding next year. She is such an impressive young woman. So personable, hard working and caring. She is so there for me when I need her. She babysits in a pinch (or gets her sister to babysit for me). I hope I won't have to do without her until I am done with the classes I am taking because she is part of the infrastructure that is allowing this to happen for me. sorry so long winded but I feel so fortunate for the situation I have and wouldn't give it up.

I cut my long hair in August,now my hair takes me seconds to do. As for makeup-none on a daily basis. It just rubs off on my surgical mask at work. For a night out, or if I want to impress my makeup takes me 10 minutes but I rarely wear it. I am lucky that at 52 I have good skin. Still nice and tight (on my face that is). My only issue is brown spots from sun exposure while golfing, but that is easily covered. I learned my lesson and religiously wear spf 50 from oil of olay regenerist every day.

Thanks for the reminder!!

OK, I'll tell on myself as well. Went to the mall wearing my white crop pants. When I undressed for bed that evening, I realized I had been wearing my blue flowered underpants! Nice look, huh?

I always make it a point, to stop people and tell them when something similar is wrong.

One day I was in the grocery store and a lady was in front of me and she had white shorts on. You could see she had a sanitary napkin taped to her backside with duct tape. From then on I have been very careful what I wear under my white pants....

Oh no! Funny,but glad she caught you.

Something similar happened to me earlier this afternoon. I had been working around the house a little, then decided I just run into Kohls real quick. In the changing room, I suddenly noticed the collar on my lime green t-shirt had a dirty "ring around the collar" and there was a big food stain right on the front! I wanted out of there before someone I knew saw me.

What are the odds? I met a friend's daughter as I was going out of the changing room and she was coming in, and then at the cash register there stood my cousin waving like mad. Ugh.

This is so sad, last time I went to Cedar Point (amusement park) there was a gal walking with a bunch of friends--she apparently had been on a water ride & her White pants were soaked & her pad was showing! (contents of pad also) I told her & she said she must've been walking around wet for about 15 min---poor girl! She really appreciated the fact that someone told her!!

A few wks ago I was in line at PO & a gal in front of me had on new jeans--tag still on, size marker running down her leg etc--I told her & she thanked me--LOL

Guess its always nice to tell someone what they have on their behinds--LOL

I once emerged from the ladies room in my office with a pantyshield stuck to my backside. I went to my desk, thankfully a gal friend had seen me and she immediatelly phoned me and told me about it.

donna, how embarrassing would that have been?! I probably would have gone back to the car and hid out all day after that. I suppose other people were enjoying a laugh, but you were the only one to step up and help her.

New jeans thing? Been there done that, at the eye doctor's standing at the reception desk. The waiting room was full. Some lady came up beside me and whispered to me the size marker was still on my jeans. Yes, I wear a plus size, too! ha. But for some reason I didn't get too embarrassed.

Guess that is why I don't wear white pants--but then I never have cared for them. Always afraid I would spill or ???

One time years ago I was sitting in a church service near the back of the sanctuary. A lady who was on her way to her front-row seat walked up the aisle with the hem of her dress tucked under her belt in the back. She'd obviously been to the restroom and her dress had somehow gotten caught. I felt sorry for her...

Today I wore a polyester dress to church. Didn't want to take the time to grab a slip short enough for the dress as I was running late. Every time we had to stand, the backs of my thighs stuck to the pew and my dress was sticking to me. Towards the end of church when we stood, the lady behind me reached over and unstuck my dress from my legs and I turned around and thanked her. I think it must have been sticking to my thighs instead of the knees where it belonged. Bet that is the last time I wear that dress without a slip.
