Just curious how everyone's plants and cuts are doing that tried out the PB pots? I got a surprise box of rooted Hoya's from a friend and so far since I put each in a PB pot I have new growth on campunalata, shepherdii, solaniflora, onychoides, engleriana and lacunosa. I have cuttings of lacunosa 'Ruby Sue' trying to root in 2 different PB pots. The cuts are perking up and I haven't lost any of the cuttings. I put them to root right before July 4th. I haven't checked to see if any have rooted yet. I don't want to disturb them but the perking up leads me to believe they are starting to root. I'd like to hear if any of the rest of you have had the same luck with your pots. Happy growing!,,,,Debbie

I use Firefox and when I went to disable them via FF there was no place to click. I then went to the link via IE and saw the disable button. I'm left wondering if they maybe won't bother FF or if I maybe already have something in place that would block them, since I didn't see the button. I guess time will tell. As another member wrote on another forum, "There's no such thing as a free lunch." Rather than 'pay to play' I can either disable them, or just learn to deal with them and not hover the cursor anywhere but at the side, if possible.

I see those ads on TV for the product that is supposed to make your own eyelashes grow in thicker, longer, and darker (the ones that admit you might have some permanent change in eye color as a result of using the product) and I see the 'after' shots and I wonder why anyone would want to have eyelashes that look that fakey and heavy anyway! I see the same sort of shots of 'after' applying some of the mascaras too! I like pretty eyelashes, I really do, and mascara is the only makeup that I have used throughout my entire lifetime (since my teens). I don't use it all the time, but I do use it and I like the results. But I can't understand why anyone would find some of those 'after' results attractive or appealing or even sexy (as the ads seem to imply)!

Cynic, I understand where you are coming from but I don't think many know why some doctors prescribe the drugs they do (The problems don't just stem from human error -they make choices). Some may be getting kickbacks (in one way or the other) and that is wrong. Many are also more concerned with fitting in more patients then with spending quality time with patients. There are good Dr.'s (like the one who told me NOT to take the drug when I was pregnant) and there are not so good dr.s (like the one who told me to take it --which I might add it was just on the market and I was pregnant and not wanting to take it). It's not human error; It's incompetence and if I had taken that drug and it hurt my baby, I would have and should have sued. I have both doctors and lawyers in my family, and I know people dislike both groups. But when it comes to drug related problems, I would totally finger point at the doctors before I would point at the lawyers. Granted sometimes problems can just be from normal human error, but those doctors still need to pay when human error comes into play. Even if it was only human error when a Dr. "accidentally" took off the wrong foot, they still need to pay. And if they cause someone to have a heart attack, or an infant to have a serious disabilty, they should have to pay too if a mistake was made. If your electrician wires your house wrong due to humna error, and there's a fire, he still needs to be accountable. The lawyers trying to get the money for you when a professional messes up are not the bad guys. I think if you had aserious medical problem occur because of medical incompetence, you would feel differently. I'm not sure that people know the reason some medicines are given is sometimes simply because the Dr. was given free samples of those meds.
