You have big time prayers from me Bump. I don't think it is the good memories that hurt. It's the loss of the loved one who made them with you. Wrap yourself in them, and know the pain will pass, but the memories will linger.

Brenda, sadly, there are so many of us, on this forum, that can empathize with you. You will be fine (I speak from recent experience), and as long as you have friends such as those on this forum, you have emotional support. Your loss has been huge and yes, your life has changed forever - I am here to say that without these 'friends', my life would not be what it is today.

You will always have those wonderful memories to reflect on, stories to tell, and your family. Please, take care of yourself and know that WE CARE for you!

Brenda, grief is a sign of how well you loved. Let yourself feel, even if it hurts to your core. You are intitled to get through this time any way you can, but also let yourself reach out and take a hand or use a shoulder should you need one. We are all here for you, even though many have never laid eyes on each other our hearts here at the KT are linked as one.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know it's hard to believe but there will be a day that you will smile again as you recall those precious memories. They will be the gifts of the future.

I've missed all of this with my own situation. My sincere condolences to you and your family. I pray Ronnie is in a better place now. Yes you had many wonderful years together but it is still hard.

I can. My DH and I only had 38 years together, and yes, they do hurt. The hurt will change over time and you will realize the value of those memories. They can carry you through some rough times.

Take all the time you need and those memories will get you to a place where you can relax and enjoy them.

Remember, tears are therapeutic;they are there for a purpose.

This has all been so tramatic for you, and I know that losing Ronnie has put a big hole your heart and your home. The kids have lost their dad, and you, your husband. My heart is heavy for you.
