Did you see the hand models on CBS this a.m.?

The first one leads a bizarre life, IMO. To protect her hands and their flawless appearance, she does nothing with them. No housework, no cooking, no gardening, no bedmaking, no opening windows, no opening doors. Her husband does all the chores, and her daughter buckles her shoes for her.

She wears gloves all day every day (she has over 500 pair), often holding her hands up to keep the blood from entering them. (Will her hands fall off from lack of circulation some day?) She permitted the interviewer to touch her hand only very gently, with a fingertip. She said her hand was the softest she would ever feel. What a claim to fame. I thought we'd left the Victorian era.

I'm thinking that someday her hands are going to look old like everyone else's. With her strange circulation maybe she won't get those pop-up veins, but her skin will thin. If she then runs out of lucrative assignments, will her DH announce that it's time for her to take over the cooking and cleaning and gardening? I'd like to see what happens at that point.
