Happy (early) Birthday to my little baby!

He's not a baby anymore, that's for sure. Grant will be 2 years old tomorrow (Saturday). I can't believe it's been 2 years since he came into our lives. He's changed so much and has grown into his own little independent person.

Thank you all for being a special part of his first 2 years of life.

Marigene, I have an old gardening book published in 1901 and it's amazing how many of today's favorite houseplants were being grown then. Fun to speculate how many cuttings were passed along and probably still thriving somewhere today from still other cuttings. But to have an original plant 80 years old...just think of all the care and watering through all those years. Your Prayer Plant (Maranta?) is a little fussier so it's surprising it made it through those times when, if like my plants in that family, it sulks or gets brown edging on leaves. I have learned though to cut back on watering and even if it dies back it will recover from roots. The Haworthia I haven't grown but, again, I'm really impressed with its age. Mike, I am so glad you finally received your much awaited for datura! Love the variegation! It looks like it is a single white flower??? Please keep us updated on its growth with lots of pictures. Are the brugs you planted outside in sunken pots or in the dirt? That is a LOT of brugs to get planted! I am glad Tehya is doing well!!! I wonder if we will recognize her since she is growing so fast? Looking forward to the pics of her! Keep up the good work & it is always great hearing from you! Joyce

AWWWW...big wet sloppy kisses and a Happy Birthday to you Dakota!! She's a real sweetie and it is a heartbreaker that they don't live long... Now go bake her a cake or at the very least some white cupcakes!! (I did that after I priced a doggie cake at the store...17.00...it was more then a REAL cake!)

Good Christmas Morning Everyone! Our Summer was/is one busy gal these days, but I bet she'll be here later. Thanks for all the good wishes. The family took Summer to Red Lobster for a late lunch...soooo yummy! Later, we went back to her lovely home for some holiday cheer and loads of laughs. Hi Carol, I remember the Cup o' Gold thing. :) Sorry Dea, but I don't recall the fried chicken event...maybe Summer does since she's younger than me. lolol One thing I got Summer was Nora Ephron's latest book, "I Remember Nothing"...I also got her a calender. We both had a laugh about that. LOL

OH my gosh just look at that picture!!!! Only 2 years ago? He's still a doll and is going to be a KT sweetie for the rest of his life!
He HAS changed so much and isn't a baby any more.

No, Steph, Thank YOU for letting us be a part of your beautiful son's life. All the way from the fertility struggle to the beautiful pictures of Grant totally enjoying his water slide. It is just so wonderful to see kids that are growing up surrounded by lots of love. Grant sure does hold a special place in the KT hearts!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Grant!!!

Steph, he is one of the most beautiful babies I have EVER seen - I used to be a nurse in labor and delivery and newborn nursery, so I've seen a TON of babies - he is just gorgeous!

It is also now time for a picture of Grant, as he looks today - perhaps post one EVERY DAY for those of us who can't get enough of looking at him! LOL
