Oh I am good with it. ha ha ha I guess it is just meant to be for me to be HERE lol and not work work work. Even the mails to mai niece are not going through because her mailbox is full. I just sit back and wait till things turn around. Not worth it to drive yourself crazy. After all...you endured being out of your home for SO LONG. How is it going? Lucy

Thank you Debra.I love this Torenia plantI use to have one years ago,and forgot to bring it in the first winter I had it and thought it had died, but, in the spring I found a bunch of little plants coming up and gowing, but,I finally had lost all of it,so I was very happy when I found a plant at our local nursery that only opens up a few months each spring.its a member of the African violet group, but,it tolerates a little sun very good. Thanks for your comments on the daylilies. MANTIS: yes the TORENIA plant tolerates heat very well, just not a lot of hot sun, but it does like a little sunshine.Have to be careful with the watering and not over water it.Thats how I have killed several of them, over watering.let it dry out before watering again.and yes,it does like a little early morning sunshine or late evening.just not in the hottest part of the day,it needs in the shade, then. This little kitty can be just a barrel of laughs..Every morning when it hears my front door unlock and open, it just comes from out of no where, just jumping up and down like a bucking horse, and it sits there waiting for its food it knows I am bringing. it sits there looking up at me,and moving b ackwards each step I make.It wants to be first to get its head in the bowl to eat, as the mother is always waiting by the step each morning, too.Shes wild and wont let me get too close to her, but, shes very pretty grey tabby. jean

Happy TGIF everybody! Nancy, we love MB...last time I was there saw a sign on the restaurant for "Twofers"...got excited until I saw the tank full of frogs! :) Chase, enjoy the nice weather at the cottage! Spring has sprung! amck, after 12+ years in Bedford I never did learn to like hockey but I'll cheer the old team on anyway! Looking forward to baby pixs also. Alexa, have fun visiting with your friend & stay out of trouble! Jessy, oh...I LOVE Marie Callenders' German Chocolate Pie (actually, I love them all!). Duane, that's so cool you're taking care of Roxie! Grace, I'm envious of your horses. It sounds like such fun. Linda, enjoy the show. Our's was a couple weeks ago...a dud. Hope your's is better. Linda, don't work too hard. Annie, is Elery in town this weekend? I imagine Copenhagen is a real mess! Ellen, please post the 1946 Mac 'n Cheese recipe! Have fun at the B-day party! Diane, isn't it great to be able to garden again?! I'll have flowers in a couple weeks. Deanna, it doesn't sound like fun but, hopefully, you're almost done with that project & can move on to something that is!! Cathy, it's not "Yard Work"...it's "GARDENING"! lol Don's on his way home now...probably about at Old Saybrook (30-40 minutes away). I'm making breakfast for dinner because it's easy to fix quickly when he gets in rather than trying to time something for an unknown arrival. Tomorrow, we have an appointment with a REALTOR (why do they capitalize all of the letters?) to look at a house on Beebe Pond overlooking the Mystic River. We've been looking since Feb. '07 & this is at least the 20th house he's shown us. We are soooo pickey! Also, this is a sad weekend. We are boatless in Mystic. As unbelievable as it sounds considering the economy this guy from CA wanted to buy our Nordic Tug. So, we sold it to him. We wintered her in Annapolis, he saw her, & fell in love. The Homeland Security documents cleared last Friday & escrow closed this Tuesday. She's on her way right now to CA...overland. It's costing him a small fortune 'cause her beam exceeds legal limits, without special permits. Crazy, we would have run her through the Canal. Maybe, he's afraid of such a long trip being a new captain? So, we've got a garage full of "boat stuff" to do something with. :( Please help me say, "Good-bye", to her. /tricia

Well must be summer cause the puter is acting up AGAIN!! Seems it goes on the fritz about this time every year...I even took the tower out and placed it in front of the ac unit as suggested by someone here but still no luck. I will post until the old boy kicks so if I disappear you will all know why!! Lets see...Drew has been out of school for a few days now. His final grades were not at all stellar but he did manage to pass and be promoted to the 10th grade. Amy is going back to school next week...not to live but to take a few summer classes...kinda get a jump start on her sophmore year. I know its good for her so I support it. However it will mean no summer vacation for the family. I am not too bummed tho-means we can put the cash away for our move!! Everyone please send good thoughts and/or prayers to dear brother on Tuesday. He will go back to the hospital for xrays and mri to determine if he can begin to put weight on his legs. The resident docs at the home say they feel he can but we have to wait to see what his surgeon says. It will be a wonderful day for him if he can!! It will also mean he will be able to go home by the end of the week and begin out patient therapy!! Oh poor IOWA!! What a devistating flood!! My heart breaks for all involved and I hope the situation improves quickly!! Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads!! Cheers! Susie
