The sun was shining so I took the dog for a long walk--looking for signs of life. The forsythia are still frozen in time and half open (for the past 3 weeks!). Saw the first of the early tulips. It was great to be above 40 for once but snow is coming tomorrow. Other years I've had 'winter depression' but this year I am really getting close to 'spring depression'. The dang rodent said there'd be an early spring. Six weeks from Feb. 2nd is March 16. Give me a break! One snow storm in April is sort of normal. Two solid April weeks of freezing weather?--unheard of. Not having fun here! Yep! wendy2shoes is right! Can't garden, can't do housework, can't smoke. May as well drink!

Xanax is a nerve pill, lol. Actually I have one but haven't resorted to it yet. One more thing and I will though. The thing is they aren't married and he isn't even sure if the baby is his since they were sort of broke up but still seeing each other when it happened. They have gotten back together and he was going home on regular leave right before the baby was due and they were going to get married. Well the baby didn't cooperate and due to complications they are inducing labor Thursday and he just found out this morning so they are letting him go home but won't pay for it and he doesn't have time to get all the emergency assistance paperwork done before he needs to leave to try and get home in time. Linda you really cracked me up. I needed that. I have known the girl since she was little so at least I know the mother but her family is crazy. He is going to raise it as his whether it is or not so I am gonna be grandma either way. I am ok with it but can't afford to go home right now so I will have to meet him later.

I'm making breakfast for dinner because it's easy to fix quickly when he gets in rather than trying to time something for an unknown arrival. Tomorrow, we have an appointment with a REALTOR (why do they capitalize all of the letters?) to look at a house on Beebe Pond overlooking the Mystic River. We've been looking since Feb. '07 & this is at least the 20th house he's shown us. We are soooo pickey! Also, this is a sad weekend. We are boatless in Mystic. As unbelievable as it sounds considering the economy this guy from CA wanted to buy our Nordic Tug. So, we sold it to him. We wintered her in Annapolis, he saw her, & fell in love. The Homeland Security documents cleared last Friday & escrow closed this Tuesday. She's on her way right now to CA...overland. It's costing him a small fortune 'cause her beam exceeds legal limits, without special permits. Crazy, we would have run her through the Canal. Maybe, he's afraid of such a long trip being a new captain? So, we've got a garage full of "boat stuff" to do something with. :( Please help me say, "Good-bye", to her. /tricia
