I got 4.5 hours..I have a bad time sleeping at night. Once I stir-and slightly awake, I have to get up.

I am like sharon. I actually got 5 1/2 last night...which to me is sleeping in.

About 1958 our mission agency had bought a farm on the edge of a city in rural Korea and wanted to build a modified Western-style home for an agriculturalist who was to come to operate it as a demonstration farm. Most Korean farmers made their living on just under 3 acres of land. We'd had trouble finding Korean builders to build houses in the ways that suited us in the cities, let alone in that rural area and made a deal with a U.S.-based company who was building for various U.S. agencies. On one occasion a military helicopter (capacity about a dozen) brought some of them to our location and they took some of us up for a brief ride. There are mountains and hills through most of Korea but our area, but we could see some in the distance, and the East China Sea, between Korea and China, was a few miles away, to the west. There are over 20-foot tides there - which we enjoyed, with a sand beach that stretched out for about 1/8th of a mile when the tide went out, at the beach which mission agencies had leased, a few miles from there. Unfortunately ... the builder "went broke" ... leaving sub-contractors holding the bag ... and, with walls up and roof on, with door and window frames in, they put a "stop-work" order on the house. There it sat through most of the summer, looking like a skull, sitting up there on the hillside. We had to pay about one and a half times for that house! We looked for alternative accomodation for the Findlay family, with four daughters aged 4 - 14 ... but couldn't find any. So, when they arrived in early September, we shoe-horned them into Ed's little 2-br. Japanese-style house, with the sliding, paper-covered doors and all ... with the little girl in a semi-crib in a small room just off the parent's room, while we settled the three older daughters on a built-in sofa and other beds in the living room. I went to Japan to meet Sue in early Oct. (she said that had I not been there to meet her ... she'd have gone home to Mother), we travelled to Korea on a ship ... and were married in Seoul a week or so later. It took us three days to get married: you'd think that it would have stuck for more than 11 years! Then she, too, was shoe-horned into that little Japanese-style home - we had an upstairs bedroom, and an office at one end of the house, to more or less call ours ... for about 3-1/2 months, till the Findlay's new home was finished. _______________________ In 1967, Canada's Centennial Year, when we had a World Expo in Montreal, Sue's Mom, a teacher/librarian, came up from Iowa in early June to attend with us, then returned to finish her M.A. course in Iowa City. When we went down in late summer to her grad., she took us and Sue's brother's family for a holiday to the Wisconsin Dells and one of the activities there was that we went for a helicopter ride over the town and the park. Unfortuately, Bruce, approaching 6 at the time, remembers little of it ... I don't remember whether Kathryn, closing in on 3, went: I think not. Hi Glenda, Sure glad your son didn't stay in the cemetery ... ... did he? I've been accused of being full of hot air, on occasion ... but haven't put any of it into a balloon yet. Have never ridden in one, either. Hope you're well started on a busy week. It's been snowing and blowing today and getting colder - it's to go down to about 5 degrees tonight and about 3 or 4 below for a couple of days. I think that I'll stay home - until the Old Farts' meeting at church on Thurs. morning. And there's a Financial Forum in Toronto on Sat. that I want to attend. ole joyful

About eight miles to the nearest commercial stuff, and on quite a few days I don't travel - so if I want some, I make it ... ... except on Thursdays when I usually attend the ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) club at church, where we drink coffee ... and I often go without breakfast. ole joyful

I have enough Irish blood in me to remember my Grandpa doing jigs around the dining room table. LOL My Great Grandma Paul on my Mom's maternal side was an Irish Kennedy, My Grandpa's Scottish clan was banished to Ireland for sheep poaching which is why his last name started with an McC instead of a MacC. You can tell we have a lot of "black Irish" (mix of Spanish and Irish) genes in our blood - well not mine but those of my Mom and her siblings and most of my siblings. They are lucky and have darker skin and dark hair while myself and my brother Donald were the fair haired, rosey cheeked children. My Mom and her siblings were born in Scotland. There is also Irish blood on both sides of my Dad's family. Although he and 2 of his siblings were born in Canada my Grandpa, Grandma and my Uncle were born in England. Anne

I am with Sharon and Margaret. Luckily last night I managed to get 6 hours which is unheard of for me. I have tried and tried to go back to sleep but once I stir I have to get up.

I was wide awake at 3 for some reason but I rolled over and went back to sleep and got up at 6:30.

I got 9 hours last night. Went to bed about 9:00 and got up at 6:00. I was really tired last night. I'd worked a lot at the cabin for 2 days.

I wake up several times during the night to go to the BR. I go to sleep between 11:00 - 12:00 and am up no later than 6:00. It'd be okay if it was uninterrupted sleep, but it's sporadic. DH sleeps like a rock w/ his c-pap. No more snoring for him. Yea for me!!

Only about 5 and they were interrupted! I could use a good night's sleep.

Been restless for a variety of reasons but the BEST one is that my son, daughter-in-law and grandson are arriving this afternoon!!! I haven't seen them since little Tyler was born September 2006. They live in Wichita Falls, Texas and are both in the Air Force. My son is an instructor (A-10 aircraft) and Beca is a dental assistant. They have both been in over 10 years and plan to stay until retirement. I'm so proud of them and will be so happy to celebrate the 4th of July with them!!!!

About seven and a half hours last night. I will need a thirty minute nap today to get in the recommended eight hours of sleep. ;)

10:30-6:00 = 7.5! Not sure I woke up at all through the night! I have been really tired. (I know there will be a nap in my afternoon today too!)

I slept later today because today is my day off. But
usually about 5-6 hours.

I got up several times last night. 10:30, I fell asleep in my chair,woke, went to bed, got up at 3:30 had a drink of water and went back to bed. Woke at 7:00. Probably 5 1/2 to 6 hours of real sleep.

Looks like we all have sleep issues ! I got almost 4 hours then hubby gets up for work. Wide awake am I !!

I sleep best when he's gone. That's if I go back to sleep.

7.5 and that's fine for me. As long as I get between 7 and 8 I'm a happy clam.

About 4, a cat was cooking me and I had a million things to do today, so I got up about 2:45 this morning. I did this one day last week and then slept for 11 hours the next night, so there's just no telling from one day to the next how many hours I sleep. I average about 7, though.

9, but I got up three times, and the sleep I got wasn't restful, for some reason. I'm really tired today, and I don't feel well.

Around 6 or 7, because of wake ups. Yes I wish I could get 8 every night but it is never going to happen. I have to be up by 6 and I have a noisy DS who doesn't go to sleep till midnight.

I got about 8 hours of sleep. I normally get less than 7. Today is a holiday so I slept in.

If i got in 3 straight hours that's good these days.I havn't had a full nights sleep since my surgery,so i have to catnap during the day.Pain keeps me awake.but my dr told me today that that should start to change soon as the healing takes place.Hope so!!

I got about 4 hours sleep last night; and yes, I wish I had gotten more! Looks like I might get 5.5 to 6 hours tonight, if I hurry up and get off the 'puter and get to bed!

Two so far. It's 4 am and I can't sleep. I was worried that I bounced a check. I checked my bank account online and it's okay, so I can go lay down for a while. Have to be up at 6 to clean house and get DD up for work by 8. Night!
