Morning Sue. I'll trade temps with ya...we're going to be in the mid 90's. I would feel like getting much more done if it were 68 instead. :)

I need to be cloned today cause I have things to do inside the house, outside, plus some errands, too. So, I'll just have to pick a few things from the list.

I've done a couple loads of laundry--got to do it early because it gets too hot later. I've got to clean the kitchen and the Florida room. Probably wouldn't hurt to clean the bathrooms either!!

Later DH and I want to go to Lowes and HD to look at countertops, sinks and new faucets. These white counters are killers just trying to keep them clean. Not going for anything fancy because it wouldn't add that much value to our house and I'm not crazy about the granite ones. Silestone would be great, but not in our budget. I want to look at the ones made of recycled materials.

Yesterday I made a chocolate cream pie and porcupines so it's leftovers for dinner.

I just put a few baking potatoes in my portable oven on the porch, even though it is cool here and only expect to get into the seventies by noon. Then threw in a load of whites between KT posts and now am about to walk around the block (1 mile).

I'm going to use the potatoes for potato skins (ya know, baked again with cheese & add sour cream and bacon pieces later) and use the potato pulp for baked potato soup. So that means I got to start frying some bacon for the soup when I get back from my walk. Half of the bacon I'll use for the calico beans that I'm making for Fourth of July pot luck.

Have some phone calls to make this afternoon.

Big day for hubby. He is signing legal documents later on today to sell his business that he built for the last 30 years. We will be getting payments and not drawing from his retirement accounts for several more years. But in essence he will be retired at age 53. A lot of our friends are surprised that he can do this but I'm not; it's been in the plans for decades. Slow and steady wins the race!
