I do see it but it's just alittle banner at the top or at the side I'm running Firefox also (don't think I have Adblock tho - my computer expert is in charge of that)

I am seeing it too, plus my computer has an "Error Message". Maybe I'll shut down and re-start.

YES! I can not get rid of it, and when I try to post it overtakes the entire screen and won't let me reply. Maybe shutting down and re starting will do the trick like Jannie. Will try that. Never seen anything like this before.

Grrrrr! Must be the weather! And a couple of days ago I had to "register" umpteen many times. Makes one long for Spike.

Yes and it ticks me off. I'm on dial up, and it is slow anyways, but to get rid of the blue crap, I have to log off. Then it takes a while for me to get back on. Now I admit, I;m a creature of habit and really like to peruse this site while I have my morning coffee. I hope hope this gets fixed soon.

Nope - no ads for me!

If you just use firefox with the adblock plus add on and the easylist you WILL NOT ever see any of these ads period. Really easy to do.

Chrome with Adblock, no ad.

Firefox with Adblock. No ads. It's been said over and over again. Instructions have been posted over and over again.

It's getting really old to hear all the whining about ads, when the fix is easy, available, and FREE.

GW did not write this ad or choose the display method..they only accepted the money paid for it, and GW doesn't care if we don't like it...because they got their money.

Nabisco paid big money for this intrusive and irritating ad, and it was developed and written by Nabisco's ad agency.
No ad is published without approval from the entity that pays for it.

That must be true, because there are a bunch of complaint threads here today. And I don't see a single ad.

I have Firefox and Adblock and still saw the ads. I tried to click it off and it took me to their ad page, it finally went away after I restarted the whole page a few times.

Try adding the Easy List to your AdBlock.

I sent an email to GW right after my original post yesterday morning. It appears they listened to all of us, finally, as the ad seems to have disappeared.

I have limited pop-ups with Safari, but Oreo was really over the top.

Dotmom, being on dialup I believe you'll see a big difference in speed by changing your browser to Opera. When I was on dialup it was an unbelievable difference than using the "Internet Elephant", so noticeable that when I had to work on a system without Opera it was annoyingly slow. Chrome is also good on dialup. Firefox is liked by many but I, along with a number of others have found it to be much slower on 32 bit, although it has improved over the latest versions. Plus Firefox needs so many extensions to bring it up to be a comparable browser to others and with all the extensions they have to get updated so frequently that you'll use a lot of bandwidth and time downloading the updates. I know a lot of people are in love with Firefox but I'm annoyed with its "patchwork quilt" design requiring updating it at least a couple times weekly. But to each their own.

Opera claims to be the fastest browser on earth and it's hard to argue with that although I think the Gecko based K-meleon and others are close and possibly in some ways can be even better but those browsers have other shortcomings that I don't endorse them.

Just a suggestion. If you want to try it you can without changing from your current browser. You can just load it, try it out for a while while you learn it and when you're ready, change it to the default browser for your system. If you don't like it, no problem, you can uninstall it, although a secondary browser is a good idea to have on a system anyway. You could also try Chrome. You can try them all for that matter and see what you think. But I think you'll find a noticeable speed improvement over IE.
