Some things I DIDN'T know about the infamous oil leak

The cap that's working (at least so far) is based on a design by a Minnesotan. Was a Master Mechanic in the National Guard. Now working completely on his design. He'll testify before Congress about it.

He's a little annoyed however, because BP changed the design and he suggests that they did not improve it, to the contrary in fact. As he put it, when you have gold, you don't change it to silver. (Nice analogy!)

Here's a story that ran on it a while back.

He was contacted by BP and has sold them the idea. He stands to make millions from it. My understanding is $3.1 million plus a payment per gallon. Good for him.

It's hydraulically controlled to allow partial or full flow to keep using the well.

Updated report here.

Good luck to ya buddy. Here's hoping it works in the Gulf. It did work in North Dakota on a water well. Nice to see a local guy succeed, especially in this way. He deserves every penny.

I found it interesting.
