My son used to post here, but no longer does.
I've met a whole lot of people! Gatherings in MN, IA, and TX, and had a great time every time.
Hayjud lives about 60 miles from me, and Vickie/MN lives about 50 miles away.
I read a post about the KT at the HGTV open forum and got here the day the table was pulled up!

I met Missmaggierock and Glenda and I also met Julie_Tn., but she was very ill in the hospital at the time. Hi to all you sweet ladies.

Missmaggierock lives just a few miles away, but she rarely posts here anymore.

I found the Garden Junk forum quite a few years ago, but due to my work schedule I rarely had time to visit there. After we moved from 10 acres to take care of to a rather small lot in a subdivision I had more time to go back to Garden Junk. I saw a reference to KT posted there and I came to check it out. I've been here ever since then.

Not related to anyone here, but met my first KTer when Hayjud posted about the beautiful gardens in St. Cloud; I posted that I had missed them on my trip down to house=sit for DD, so she suggested that I stop in and meet her at the Gardens. We had a lovely time there and it was as though I had known Judy for years. I think it was the next year that she hosted a get-together which was great.

In 2003, on a trip to Scotland, I met McPeg, and that was so much fun.

I also came here through a reference from HGTV forums.

2. Who have you met? I've met quite a few people at Sandy and Deans get together in 2005, a couple months after I started coming here.

3. Who lives close to who? Patti, Toni, Stacy (girlsinthegarden) By close I mean within 100 miles.

4. How was it you came to sit at the Kitchen Table? I was at the Bluebird forum, and someone mentioned the KT to me there. I think it may have been Wanda.

1. I'm not related to anyone here, as far as I know. (I suppose if you go back far enough, everybody is related.)

2. I have met Jodi, a very nice lady. I have also met several other people on the cooking and roses forums.

3. Jodi lives very close to my parents -- they have met, and continue to share travel information.

4. I started at the Roses Forum, and somehow drifted over to the Kitchen Table -- I enjoy the sharing and support that happens here.

2. I've met Jodi,Carol,Lunchlady,Tami in Ohio and her DH,Linda in Iowa,Fairegold,Sable,Aptosca and Mtnwomanbc.

3.Aptosca is nearest from that group. I live less than an hour to Steph and Jenni but have never met them.

4. I stumbled upon this site while surfing for kitchen remodeling info.

I am related to DD, PerfectPets, who seldom gets time to post, & lives 10 minutes from me.

I have met those at the 2005 gathering at Sandy & Deans, Flamingo & Woody, NanAr & Family, Mickey15 lives about 45 minutes from me, we've met several times, and may see each other again in a couple of weeks. Met Pattico & Dennis in May. HeatherONT & DH, Nicole & Claude & Sophie, Dances, Cherryfizz, Mush & DH, Love4Pets, ElizaAnn, KristyWI & her DH, I think that was her name. Kathy from PA several times. Wildchild is a wonderful tour guide! Kathsgardn & kids.

I think it was either 1999 or 2000 that I found this site, right after I found the crafts & dec forum, which was right after we got a new computer and went on line.

1. Who is related? I have no relatives at the KT

2. Who have you met? The last time I counted, I had met 39 KTers, and have stayed in several of their homes. Great friends!!!!

3. Who lives close to who? I think the closest KTer to me would be Buzzard. She's about 2 hrs away.

4. How was it you came to sit at the Kitchen Table? I found my way to the Crafts forum here and then the Computer Help forum. I eventually started checking in here at the KT, and moved on in around the late 1990's.

I live a short distance from Ole Joyful. He surely does do a lot to help others. We attend the same church much of the time. I've met several others but they live an hour or more away.
